That was one of the biggest tragedies of the story. The Romans killed the only honest contractor ever born.

I’ve had that argument with anti-Semitic Christians before. Historically, Jews have had various approved methods of execution. Stoning, strangulation, etc... depending on the period. They’d have never approved of crucifying him. When I point this out, the argument becomes “they could have saved him but didn’t and

I think I was around 20 when this flick came out. I remember going in and being like “I know the ending” but my Mom wanted to see it. I could see how people thought it was Anti-Semitic. The thing that really stuck out to me, and I appreciated from the film, is the reality of Roman violence.

The perpetrators were (from what I read) Protestant. Your position is that the Catholics are so mysoginist they’d support Protestants.

On a related note, anyone sick of ESPN glorifying the 80s/90s squads from “The U”? They present them as innocent outlaws who just had a lot of street swagger. The reality was that their reputation was earned by being a dirty program. And that included multiple female students accusing players of sexual misconduct and

I’ll support Tomlin if he agrees to lock up Mike Glennon in a locker when they come out for the game. That would be the act of a patriot. A real patriot, not the Brady kind.

Reese’s with Reese’s pieces in them are just fan-friggin’-tastic. I appreciate Reese’s going the Taco Bell route and letting stoners design their edible offerings.

Here I was thinking the purple headed phallus in question would be Brian Kelly.

I agree. I think the one argument I agree with is that the punishments ESPN has handed out for such infractions seem to be inconsistent. Nobody likes different spanks for different ranks. She has a right to say what she did but I can see other employees being annoyed by the disparity of punishment.

Penn State Fans will just repeat their old defenses of Joe. Like Sandusky, they have a pattern of ignominious behavior and a disdain for accountability. And, like Sandusky, they shouldn’t be allowed within 100 yards of the school.

Part of the joy in the yearly Packer disembowlings by Mr.Magary is the overwhelming sense of anal pain experienced by Green Bay faithful. And their yearly repudation of the anti-Packer screeds . Their insipid denials hammering home the truth behind Margary’s venom. Every year, they crack their sausage-like fingers and

Part of the issue with striking in MMA is that you only have X amount of time and energy to focus on one aspect. Focus on striking and a guy with decent takedowns and grappling will just own you there. Focus on your hands and a guy will come in and kick your legs out from under you.

King used to be a better writer. His output the last decade + has been crap.

The eyepokes, the drugs... he’s just a huge cheater. So much wasted talent.

It was pretty bad. The Hand could have been good villains but the show was just...lame. It was trying too hard and accomplished very little. The Marvel shows have gotten worse in each new iteration. I now expect the Punisher to be dreadful. Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter are fun in their roles but the rest just bored

I agree. This season has made me think of Michael Bay movies. Set pieces and shots that then have a brief, moronic narrative formed around them. Ever since they moved past Martin’s source material, the writing has gotten progressively worse. The last few episodes were bad fan fiction.

I sometimes wonder why I come back to he Gawker/Gizmodo blogs since so many articles are Buzzfeed-type trite. Then an article like this pops up and reminds me why. Excellent story and pictures.

Jones is a cheater. He’s been popped for PEDs and regularly pokes/gouges opponents eyes. He even jokes about all the eye attacks he’s made. He’s a piece of crap. So, of course, Deadspin loves him.

I agree. Dany’s long, extended and boring walk was bordering on time filler. As was the extended Sam poop joke. Both didn’t fit and seemed like shots the director would think are cool rather than serving the story in any way.

Beric was never a shallow knight. There’s a reason Ned Stark sent him to lead the 100 men to bring the Mountain to justice. Beric was a stand up guy. And, btw, Beric is a Lord and not a Knight. He is Lord of Blackhaven.
