I know it's upsetting, because pie is just sitting there, being the best in the world, and nobody questions it. Then cheesecake comes along, and not only is it pie, it's better than pie! Pie looks like shit now. Boo pie! (relatively)

But the guy on the right has a debilitating condition you as a hetero-dude might not be familiar with. It's call arseholeface.

I'm a hetero dude also, but there's no way that guy is hotter than the guy on the right. You sir, know nothing of hot dudes.

Unless you're taking the minipill or progestin-only pill, which really does need to take at the same time every day, the window is actually much larger than you think. My gyno (who is consistently rated as one of the best in NYC - seriously - and he's so good that I save up a LOT of money just so that I can go to him

I set an alarm too. Mine's for 10 pm because I thought I'd pretty much always be at home at that time (yes, I know...I should go out on weekends more). I just started a job, though, where I get off at 11:30 pm or sometimes even 12, and I'm starting to get pregnancy paranoid.

I've been told by a doctor that in order for it to say you're taking it COMPLETELY CORRECTLY you have to take it at the SAME TIME every day. Like others mention, set an alarm.

Technically, you have a 12 hour window, as long as you're not on the mini pill—that one you have to take at exactly the same time every day.

I was told you basically have a three hour window (an hour and a half on either side of your correct time) to have it be maximally effective. 99.9% of the time I take my pill almost exactly on time, like within a five or ten minute window, but I've followed the three hour rule for the nine years I've been on the pill

Okay, this is what I was told by my doctor and a raft of pamphlets from my local women's health clinic last time I went in for BC: if your pill is one 0f the progesterone only pills you need to take it at the same time every day, if it's a combination pill you may have up to a 12-hour window before the effectiveness

See, when I first went on the pill I was told that being off by an hour or two wasn't a big deal. I take it when I wake up, which is about the same time every day. I can't take it anytime in the middle of the day, because on any given day, I have no idea where I'll be at any given time. I don't carry a purse most

I suppose I was lucky. I did not take it "the exact same minute" every day, I just took it at bedtime. Always worked, though. The instructions also say that if you miss a day, take it as soon as possible.

I take my pill when my cat wakes me up for her breakfast. God forbid anything should happen to the fuzzball, since I'd probably end up pregnant.

Your hungover Saturdays mean you are less protected from pregnancy. Some types of pills have longer "windows" than others. It depends on the mix of hormones and how your body reacts. If this is happening routinely, I'd encourage you to either find a new time (and set a phone alarm) or find a new method.

I don't want to alarm you (no pun intended) but that was how I did it for years, and then I got pregnant in April. :( I had an IUD put in to avoid ever being in that situation again, but I was shocked at how blasé my OB/GYN doctor was about people getting pregnant while on the pill. Apparently taking it at the same

Similar to the person below, I set an alarm on my phone for the exact same time every single day in the afternoon, cause I knew I would be awake and ready. Sometimes it's during a meeting at work, so I take it a half hour late, but those days are rare - I even shove it in my pocket on my way to meetings sometimes,

Yup, the idea is to take it at the same time every day. That's why I always took mine at 3pm. I knew I was pretty much guaranteed to be awake at that time every day and I kept the pill pack in my purse because I knew I was pretty much guaranteed to be near my purse all the time. I set an alarm on my cell phone and on

I took my pill whenever I woke up, as well, for over a decade. Sometimes that was 5 am, sometimes it was 1 pm. I guess I'm really lucky it always worked for me.

Then it took me a whole year to get pregnant on purpose when I went of the pill.

Liquid nitrogen really isn't that scary though. See Leidenfrost effect!

Ahaha. Coolest science demo thing I remember from school was when a dude told us all about how dangerous and bad electricity was, then electrocuted a hotdog. Does the Ronald McDonald fire safety house count?
