I always just kind of assumed that the athlete and team worked together on treatment and on releasing the information. I haven't had the chance to read about the waiver, but I guess it's unrealistic to hope that the doctors wouldn't release the information without the athlete clearing it. It seems unlikely that every

We are gathered here today to remember Albert Burneko, beloved food columnist, who was beaten to death by a crowd of regional food enthusiasts after he criticized just about every dish they enjoy...

I agree with this. I have no idea why any two sport athlete would choose any other sport if they know they're going to get to the MLB quickly. Less injury, no salary cap, and the possibility of a longer career. Also, I don't know Bo, but I had heard he really preferred baseball. I'm going to have to learn more.

Great article. What was that highlight reel you showed up top, though? It kind of looked like football, but there were almost no graphics, no first-down and line of scrimmage overlays, no dumbass robots jumping around, and not even a single sponsor logo plastered somewhere on-screen.

The vented ones immediately reminded me of those old Nerf whistling footballs. Great read.

Yes, that's correct, noted "actors," who are obviously well-versed in medicine, blame thiomersol. This is because it contains mercury, but in the past decade or so, mercury was removed from the measles, mumps, and rubella* just to satisfy these worthless assholes, and yet, they remain unsatisfied. I'm with you on this one. And, if he hadn't re-broken it during the game, everyone would be saying what a great move he made by having surgery, how he saved the Pats' season, and so on. Obviously falling on it and re-breaking it was a real risk, but it wasn't a certainty by any means.

I'm so happy the guy exercising his right to bear arms made it here.

Hey, just read that one of the guys had a recurrance of his MRSA. It might be nice to get a bit of a second part to this one about recovery prognosis and all.

And that's what you get for wearing your ballcap to the table. Harassed by a little old lady.

Oh! So it actually can run on the launch units? Damn... Those $60 were looking pretty good in my bank account.

Other things that were cool 81 years ago:

Oh, payment is deferred until he gets his contract? That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the info.

I don't suppose you know what the premiums are on a policy like that, do you? It's not as though serious injuries are unlikely in football, after all. It must cost a ton.

Happy to hear it. But when you and your cardiologist next talk about your cholesterol, remember, you asked.
