Well, the fact that they’re issuing warrants and publicizing the case is good news for Chong. Had this been a few years earlier, he might just have been a tic in a pay ledger for “drug pushers” killed by police.

Ah. Wanted for drug smuggling in the Philippines is basically “wanted dead or alive”, post-Duerte. (Btw, that guy’s basically a walking advertising board why you don’t want to elect a raging psychopath to any position of power whatsoever - much less president of a nation.) Read more
After Duterte was elected, the massive crackdown on illicit drugs and anyone remotely associated with them was and continues to be deeply horrifying. I’m talking about massive arrests in the tens of thousands, family members going missing after being arrested, and many questionable killings of addicts.
They better not cancel Peacemaker, Harley Quinn or Doom Patrol.
I’d go further: Peacemaker was one of the best shows of the year, full stop. It does sound like its future could be in doubt.
According to Variety, whose sources I trust more than the New York Post, it wasn’t about the quality of the film but a continuation of Zaslov’s slash and burn reorganizing of the film and TV division. He wants all DC stuff to be huge theatrical releases, not mid-budget direct to HBO Max releases. Not only does not… Read more

Buddy, it’s a donation to charity. I could see wanting your money back from a bullshit fake charity, but MSF is pretty legit. What are you, a character from Seinfeld? Who acts like that in real life?
Gotta love 2022. We’re combining the 2000s dot com bubble with the 2008 housing bubble: sprinkle a little of the build up to 1939's war, the 1918 pandemic and maybe the crash that came in between.
Honestly I think this is more of a side effect than the problem itself - which is largely movement away from PC specific UIs in favor of developing console UIs then minimally retrofitting them to PC. PC UIs should be designed for PC, this would work better if you started from the more complicated UI platform (PC) and… Read more
I feel you, Luke. Even if the damn thing could just go back to the menu without the logos and the online acceptance prompt (Which I already agreed to, stop asking me, FS!), it would be better. And if I quit and there wasn’t music still playing while looking at my desktop for a few seconds. Definitely a console-first… Read more
What, was “Tetanus and Taillights” taken?
I want to just be Meredith’s violent idiot side-piece, always pissing her off and embarrassing her in front of her posh business friends.

It’s not just Drake’s friendships and mentorships that fall flat. Uncharted sure sounds like the epitome of Blood Knife’s seminal “everyone is beautiful and no one is horny” essay, which lamented how much effort these days goes into ensuring A-listers propagate unrealistic beauty standards all while romance and… Read more
Wait a minute, wait a minute. You’re saying Indiana Jones: The Video Game: The Movie turned out to be a dud? No way.
I’m for one extremely shocked by this turn of events...
I love to point out that being a cop isn’t even remotely in the top 20 most dangerous jobs in the US, and barely edges out being a carpenter or a cashier. Read more
The American problem with unions as an American problem at it’s root: the American Constitution. An archaïc, out-of-date, woefully inadequate for modern times, ming-boggingly difficult to modify (by design) and revered as divine when appropriate (to give the fig leave of “exeptionality”). The end result is a patchwork… Read more
