haven't had to replace my Mitsubishi 65" in four years now *knocks on wood*

THANK YOU!

War breeds innovation.

Still can't find something better than Grooveshark. Unsure if their label deals went thru and to what extent but sorry... HTML5, searchable database, and streaming on the majority of phones is well worth the $30/year.

Pull open some type of console and do a constant ping... then have someone TXT you. Tell me what happens

3) I, too, just asked Siri if she could count my farts. She did a web search. I am deeply saddened by this :(

It's an issue for Verizon and Sprint people because CDMA only allows data OR voice at one time. Thus... if you just made a text message or got off the phone with someone, you have to wait a few seconds while #777 is dialed behind the scenes and a 3G connection is reestablished.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong... but I think the read receipt requires a sendback text. Verizon turned this off for like... 1 or 2 days and the entire world of VZW->VZW texting went batshit crazy and melted down. Girlfriends freaked. Sexters paniced. It was chaos for 48 hours.

My favorite is being called down to the front desk because the guest flipped the WIFI switch to off probably spanking it.

Back in the early 00's, that's exactly what was done. It's horrible to still find unplugged, dusty, burnt-out Linksys 802.11b routers in the drop ceilings, but you find them now and again haha.

Wow almost VERBATUM what I wrote above! I thought I was alone in the world!!!!

Few things from someone who does this for a living. Feel free to duplicate this into the article if you guys want.

Sales on in-room entertainment (and phone calls) are down, but a large portion of the PPV stuff goes back to the parent company anyway (Lodgenet, etc). The hotel doesn't see a lot of that money.

Correct. It's a limitation of the chipset being used. Depending on coverage, LTE phones can do it though.

Assuming you're not on WIFI, CDMA phones can't allow this as data/voice can't be simultaneous.

For an iPhone, it's a perfectly fine example to use. I just switched from my Motorola Droid Pro last week and I agree with you...

Yup just tried this today and it crashes every nine seconds you do something lol.

The message will get "pushed" to your device without you having to refresh something. Think how Words With Friends notifications get to your phone without you having to open the app.

Not to mention that with the Apple version, you get Exchange integration built in automatically. Works fantastically if your office has Exchange!

That last tidbit cracked me up. Good job, Sir.
