Thought this was a joke... minecraft story mode? as a telltale game? hahahahahahaha wow people are running out of ideas to milk stuff. I mean I respect telltale up to a point (if they could spend more than 5$ on their animations it might help) but this is ridiculous in my opinion.

If anyone wants to read about it and can read french, Jean Claude Damamme wrote “La bataille de Waterloo” which was I found an amazing rendition of the 3 days of battle that led to this occasion. It shows really well how close things were and how crazy this all was.

He would probably have had to fight yet another coalition anyway, seeing as his march on Russia was motivated by showing no weakness. Sure then, he would have had one of the best armies in Europe to fight it, so who knows.

No need to get on your high horse. Yes the article is interesting and yes we clicked on the link so we also took the time to read it, but his point is still 100% valid. Look at the top of your browser, what does the tab with kotaku opened say? “The Gamer’s Guide”. That’s what it says. There is a number of other Gawker

This is honestly shameful. They’re making people pay to vote, essentially, if they want or not a new game. It’s not funding anything, as the article pointed out, it’s just getting free cash. I hope they’ll just can the kickstarter once they’re sure and prevent it from ever taking money.

Maybe I’m a hopeless optimist but that really impressed the old jaded me and I’m about 200% more excited about this than I am for VR headsets, and I’m very excited for VR headsets.

No, no he was not :P He stared at his own death for a while there.

Still waiting on his artbook I backed on kickstarter :<

Sure, but you also lose some graphic quality in the process I believe. At least all the vector based graphics I’ve seen couldn’t hold up visually when compared to “hand drawn” elements, and that’s why the traditional method is still prevalent for games that strive for high visual quality imo. Though I might be wrong

They should definitely have checked how it looked on TV, at a normal distance away, and thought how to make up for it in the options (a “very large” option maybe).

It’s not obviously just a code problem, UIs require a lot of assets, graphical and such, that can’t scale most of the time. The windows’ borders, the tabs, the hud, all of that may require specific art assets that aren’t easily scalable.

Skyrim had a horrible map... so hard to read anything on it, I think it must’ve gotten a few dozen mods to make it readable. Morrowind and even Oblivion fared much better on that end.

You obviously seem like a reasonable person, I was sure you’d understand /s

Nope, Star Citizen GOT to have a large dev team eventually after adding more and more feature because they got more and more financial support. Sure, it’s a very different situation but if anything Umbra is less crazy. The only way they’d be as crazy is if they get 2M$ funding and increase the scope even more.

It’s not because you can “technically” break it in smaller parts that it’s not extremely ambitious. First off, each of these is a hell of a lot of work, even moreso in the scope of Star Citizen. You dismissing the work like that doesn’t make it easy or even achievable. Secondly, the work for all of these isn’t just

It is very ambitious indeed, but worse projects than this have found funding... Star Citizen isn’t exactly humble and yet people literally threw money at it.

The guy is still as amazing as ever.

Adding a not now that I just finished the game.

Haven’t finished it yet but this review seems quite harsh on the game. As in: too harsh. It’s still a great FPS, which is not as current as I’d like these days. The story so far isn’t as outstanding but it managed to make me laugh (intro scene at the checkpoint was well made). The guns have a better feel imo, so do

Same, at the 2nd episode or so I already knew the ending, and they kept foreshadowing it (which at some point I found a bit clumsy). Yet I hoped for the best like an idiot until the end, because that’s just how we are. Damn you Kaori.
