I wish all gamers would understand that (without having to work in the field first).

Nope, because they don't have that guy named Kojima at the helm. I don't like this, don't misunderstand, I don't like games, studios and licenses getting passes from gamers just because of the past, of nostalgia or because of a name, but it's the truth.

Game length and replayability (i.e. multiplayer) are, have always been and will always be factors when it comes to pricing and judging a game before playing it (if you intend to buy it). They're some of the objective stats we can know about the game before playing it, so it's normal they'd be used to guess a measure

Ground Zeroes kind of got a pass because it's MGS, purely. The Order doesn't have that kind of pull.

I agree with you that people demonize publishers for the wrong reason most of the time. It's true that people investing millions should have a say, and they actually do. They couldn't care less about what we gamers think. And that in itself is fine too.

If publishers cared about having a human face behind their business, you would already have plenty of articles on that subject. There aren't many, if any.

That dead horse is starting to stink, but they still seem happy to beat on it just as much. The DLC model is indeed terrible though.

Here you go: my reaction to his comments on how he is backing out of the development of the game he promised.

Pretty sure that was the spectator cam (also if yours was a joke, it COMPLETELY flew over my head :D ).

I don't see how you'd fly over my head since I'm already above yours it seems :/

NPCs see some really messed up stuff in their lives... Example

Yep but video games. Who has more charisma and class, Ezio or Aiden (or whatever his name was from Watch Dogs) ?

Are you talking about original Fallouts or Bethesda's take? I for one find that Bethesda's Fallouts are far more bland than any S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and would not care one bit if they made it online (like they did with TES).

Long text so TL;DR at the end.

Not telling you how to play your games but your original message sounds like either you don't like RPGs in general or you obsessed over filler quests if the game was mostly utterly dull for you.

Uh. No? It's by no means a bad looking game, and it's also by no means the best looking game ever :)

The photos and uncharted's music killed me.

Well there's barely any acting in this video, kind of hard to judge anything on that end. As for the zombie shooting, I'll just stay in my corner, waiting for Killing Floor 2...

Awesome trailer. And the gameplay we can see, assuming it's not target render, already has a snappy feel to it that attracts me strangely... headed to their KS page now. Goddamit.
