Well yea, BF is a team game. 90% of the playerbase doesn't get that concept, which is why we end up with ridiculous baserapes. But that's something a dev can't entirely control. Now that the game is free maybe try to get some of your friends to join in the real BF fun.

Saying the vanilla maps are shit is going head on into a wall. They're not shit. Yes metro 64 CQ with 1000 tickets sucks. Yes you can get raped on Grand Bazaar rush if your team is retarded. Yep there's still a good community around, it's rather easy to find servers. Most of them run vanilla too so even if you don't get the DLCs you should find games.

I dunno I never got a problem finding a game for BF3... though I'm not trying all that often, mostly when my BF4-tolerance gauge explodes.

True, more layers would be neat. 40 is already a bunch though, and I find that simplicity forces people to get to the core of their idea instead of wasting time on too many details, making the finished product messy and hard to get :P

That's not the Battlefield game I would've come out with off the top of my hat but why not. The ideas seem interesting enough, the gunplay, since it's BF, will be amazing (if the netcode issues take a hike on this one), pretty environnements and solid game all around + Visceral on the solo, so we can hope for…
