Considering Ford never shies away from 'retro' it would seem something iconic like the SVO would be wanted in the stable. ST is the branding more then ecoboost as others have said.
Oh well, I'll get some fishing line and 3M adhesive remover.....

Man, can't disagree enough with this one. My 3/4 Ton 4WD GMT400 Suburban is much easier to park then my Audi A4. Why? Window sill height mostly. The Audi is almost up to my shoulders. Parking lines are virtually invisible and you have to rely on the position of other cars on the lot. While the 'burb has windows…
Agree. I went out of my way to find a low mileage '99 Burb K2500. Took half a year but found one with 55K miles.
In my experience with both, AEV is much better quality, fit and finish then the Mopar one.
Yes, but remember routine maintenance on all cars back then was substantially more often then modern cars. Hell, you also had to adjust the valves on a Type 1 every 5K I think. Oil changes every 2500 miles since there was no filter, just a screen. Points, cap, rotor, plugs were also 5K I think. And if they weren't you…
Yup. You will have a black muslim lesbian governor within the next 12 years!
Would be better with the VW/Audi 3.0TDI engine! But a good start.
I love this thing! It's still much larger then the original Jeep though. Really not that 'tiny'. Maybe we should just buy up all the remaining Suzuki Samurai's and refurb them instead.
So you're not going to get the 918 now?
Thank you! Perhaps you should be writing for Gawker?
There it is. I was going to type that, but knew somebody on Jalopnik had to beat me.
Damn, this is close. WTH goes through a douchebag's mind when they do this shit?
Have you seen what blue collar union workers make now days? They might be able to swing this car with a minimal down payment and their credit union low interest 84 month note.
Interesting. I want this to be real. Maybe Pepsi shot extra footage? But the antennas aren't there around the gravel/mud section.
And don't forget the Catera was their SECOND try. Cimmaron was first.
It can be fixed, but will probably have a salvage title.
It's such a piece of crap off-road the doors came off! And the axles are all like crooked or something. No wonder Motor Trend in 1991 gave it a bad review.
Not sure how a car they lost money on selling here and then had to pull out of this market due to losses isn't a flop?
FYI, this is one of my all time favorite cars. Drove a new one for three months in 93. Not hating on it, just stating facts. :)
I'm an Audi fan. I'm on my fourth one. But none of these are classics. Great cars? Absolutely. Classics? Get back to me in 25 years.
I don't want to like this. But I do. The 2.3 Turbo was a great engine once intercooled, and if properly cooled down. Ranger's of this vintage weren't too bad. I think this would be a blast to own for the money. And you could haul shit with it.
