I've spent much time in Baja and Central Washington. I agree with this statement. In 20 years of traveling Baja I've never been treated with anything but respect from the locals. I can't say the same of Yakima. Or most of California.

That's awesome! And to me adds much to the topic!
Are the Spyder Creations 10x the cost better? I would take the Beck (which IIR still uses a tube frame etc, and has been on the market for close to 30 years) and spend the rest on a villa in Mexico. :)
Great swap! I love it. I've seen these in Merkur's make crazy HP. And the SVO/SC as well. Not sure what else it was used in.
I want to do this now.
Yes, cool to see them break the US car mold. But they did build air cooled engines during WW2 for fighters and I think for the Sherman tanks as well. Extremely high performance engines for their day in the fighters. Aluminum as well.
I also think they did unit body and IRS going back many years in Opel models and a…
Great write up. One of my all-time favorite American cars. Especially the convertible Monza in red. But hardly an American 911. This is a unique and beautiful classic car who's time came and went rather quickly. The 911 is an automotive icon.
The 4th amendment is practically gone. And good riddance. Written a long time ago by men with muskets. It's irrelevant in today's America. Search away!
No. They should have criminal charges against them.
This. Prison terms for the cops and some of the medical personnel.
Land of the Free!
This is why I won't buy one!!!! I'm getting a Corolla instead.
Yes! Real trucks are the best. Couple years ago I picked up a '99 Suburban 4x4 as a third vehicle. A 58K mile base model with single headlight work truck grill, vinyl seats, rubber floors and no power windows. It was at a used car lot for 6 months since no soccer mom would buy that thing. 4:10 gears, posi rear and…
Back in the 80's I remember seeing a few Baja Ghias around. Yes, sacrilege!
BUT there is another way. Rail chassis with fiberglass Ghia parts! Better off-road anyway.
It does!
yes, it's an additional engine choice.
IIR didn't the XR4Ti guys (And some of the SVO 'stang people) get close to 400hp out of this engine with turbo swaps and some other minor mods (and tons of boost)?
I think one of these with a 5MT would be a fun project. NP for sure in this condition.
Cops don't give chase, they can't ID them, they're known for mob mentality and now obvious violence. I'm sorry, but I think this is the proper time to be armed and trained to use it.
Yes. A blast. I've owned four Subarus and four Audis because that car sold me on AWD. Back then Mustang GT's were the car to have if you were young. Used to love racing guys in the Seattle rain with it and watching their Fox body 5.0's spin and slide. This was before Japanese cars were considered performance cars.…
I'm going to throw in the late 80's Mazda 323 GTX. Took the shitbox HB 323 and made a proper rally car out of it. AWD, Intercooled 16V turbo, sport seats and even a Merkur style dual spoiler. My first new car I bought when I joined the Army at 19.
I suppose the 90's Caprice to Impala SS can be thrown in here as well.
Though you could come close to both cars performance with a police spec Caprice or Crown Vic.
