My hometown in New England of about 40,000 has 6 Dunkin’ Donuts locations. When I was a kid, there used to be only one, and it was a hotspot because everyplace else closed by 9 pm. Now the place is drowning in Dunkin’. New England loves stale pastry and iced coffee that is really just cream and sugar, it turns out.

Same. This scene in particular from the original is one of my favorite in modern film

I loved Party Down personally, but I agree about Burning Love. So incredibly underrated.

Well that was a solid 92 minutes of sci-fi pandering

I guess people think it would be sadder if he had relapsed and not been his right mind when he decided to end it? The article says there was a trace of nonnarcotic medication in his system, and I really hope it wasn’t Seroquel or something and he’d stopped taking it.

He has no chance, because he can’t even define what a trade war is. But his supporters will still vote for him because they don’t realize that it’s mostly Red America that’s going to get hit by any trade war.

Facet Squared by Fugazi, from In on the Kill Taker is one of my favorites. Also Black Dog from Led Zeppelin IV.

Even today, when I get into an argument with a friend, one of us will usually say something like “Oh, is that how you want to do this? In the sultry night air?” Loved that show.

Ever since, every time I hear “Walk Like an Egyptian” I think of a coked up Jason Sudeikis having a heart attack.

Exactly. Traveling to Africa to hunt rare game is very different from covering yourself in fake deer urine and hanging out in a tree on somebody else’s property all day because you like venison.

My family used to vacation in Colorado over the summer. We’d always do this one hike that was a rough loop, but when you finally finished those switchbacks, you were rewarded with this:

Old Baby Pope

It seems like Comedy Central makes a bunch of shows that are great, but nobody else I know watches. For example, Detroiters, Big Time in Hollywood, FL (RIP) and Another Period come to mind. Detroiters is awesome, and I’m sure I’m missing half the jokes because I’ve never been to Detroit outside of the airport.

Overall, I mostly liked the first episode? I agree that the femme fatale schtick that Kelly Reilly got stuck with seemed really unnecessary and out of place, but she did the best with what she had.

Mayo is a gift from the gods, and I’m happy GMG is finally acknowledging that. Come at me, Drew.

I’m really worried about Sicario 2. It just feels like such an unnecessary movie to make a sequel to, and Villeneuve isn’t directing this time.

On a side note, I love your account name.

Brockmire is great, and you all seem to like it. So how about next season, we get weekly reviews? Hell, I’ll do them for (slightly more than) free.

It’s OK to break during a sketch. Bill Hader always did during Stefon bits, and it’s actually part of the charm because you can tell he’s trying not to. Fallon was definitely trying to in order to draw attention to what a cute guy he is. Fuck him.
