It was so good, I honestly had no idea it was him until I read this review.

He also says that it was Mexico that was doing it, then immediately gives himself credit?
I’d also bet that all the songs are going to be by artists signed with Disney.
He probably does. Looks like the type of guy that would be into auto-erotic asphyxiation.
Captain Monterey Jack is so good. I’m a big fan of the Shoes one. “Three things that are square: cheese, plates and bears.”
That’s definitely true, but you’re not supposed to like or relate to the gang on Always Sunny. Makes it easy to just say screw it and only watch it just for the jokes, instead of any emotional depth.
It’s streaming on the AMC website, if you have a cable login.
I’m not a fan of musicals, so I was resistant at first. Then I binged it while I was stuck at home with a cold, and ended up enjoying it.
Oh man, I’d forgotten about this affluenza shit. I grew up with my Italian-American grandmother, and was her only grandchild. This is to say I was incredibly spoiled as a kid. Still knew enough right and wrong to know that getting loaded and running over a bunch of people is not an OK thing to do.
Hong Kong is the grimiest place. The first and only time I went there, I’m pretty sure I actually saw people having sex in a corner.
Please do Harris Wittels next. His work on Parks and Rec, as well as Analyze Phish and Harris’s Foam Corner is great.

Not something you can watch, but Melville’s Benito Cereno, as well as the accompanying non-fiction book Empire of Necessity, are great.
Both very good choices.
60,000 times as powerful as Britain’s great pre-war joke!
Hard to pick, but I think this might be my favorite bit
Very true. Honestly, the thing that turned it around for me was, a year after the Merry Wives incident, an English teacher told us about how everything the Nurse says in Romeo and Juliet is a sex joke. Great way to get highschoolers on board.
Well, Lion King is the best, and there’s nothing wrong with cribbing from Shakespeare, especially since he was cribbing from the Greek tragedies most of the time. I don’t necessarily dislike Baz either, I just meant that his influence on less talented people had some negative effects. Sort of like Dead Poet’s…
One of my bucket list items is seeing Tom Waits live. I want the rambling stories, and the weird shit like this
