Lorelai at least has a major breakthrough in these episodes and learns to be much less selfish and terrible to everyone. I kind of had this head-cannon that Ms. Kim and Mr. Kim were no longer married but she could never admit that or get divorced because of her extreme religious beliefs so he was just never mentioned.

I really, really don’t like her conversation with Christopher in retrospect. Because as much as the show is drawing a parallel between Logan and Christopher, Logan =/= Christopher. I think it would be very out of character for Logan to not be in his child’s life.

I loved the musical, but I think it would have been much better if it was a plot element in a traditional episode in a full-order season. Like the dance marathon - if that had shown up in the limited time we had, we’d all hate it too. But, like the dance marathon, I think the musical allowed for some great character…
