Wait....Girls isn't a super-dry satire? Admittedly I have only seen the first episode, but it was pretty dry and satirical...wasn't it (like when Hannah tells her parents she needs $ to be the voice of her generation)?

Agreed. Also, the fact that she is famous means she’d probably get into a much better school than she is qualified for, just making the problems you described worse.

It’s got to be that the tabloids just don’t get why people are buying them. And maybe the fact that they seem to have finally found a few A-listers who won’t sue them (or even comment) for making up these crazy stories.

I like the response, “she was rescued by dance,” like there are magical dance fairies flying around to rescue indigent children by providing free professional-level dance training throughout their childhoods.

Their friendship is the real winning "couple" of the season.

She can go to college at any time, though. Presumably she will only be this famous for so long.

Mad Men has been around that long?! Where does the time go...

Elizabeth Moss is 33. I'm confused.

She really hasn’t - I think that was her way of being diplomatic so it wouldn’t be terribly obvious that she was directly calling out Jennifer Lawrence’s multiple older woman roles...

She has really spotty taste in men. Remember Jesse James?

If she was really that tiny, she’d be excited for a little stretching out. Tiny vagina is not all fun and games, yall.

Samantha is the Pumpkin Spice Latte of American Girl Dolls.

What my mom did to save $ on American Girl: she got me the Molly doll for Christmas, and told aunts, uncles, Grandparents, etc. that she was getting that so they could buy the accessories or outfits (which are at much lower price points). So at the end of the day, I ended up with most of the Molly set.

Not to mention that she was the best tap dancer in school!

I’m pretty sure that, if He cared at all about gay marriage, Jesus would be much more impressed if she had gracefully and quietly resigned her position. But, like, I must have read different parts of the Bible than she did.

I think the idea is so that the people in power can't stack the clerk's office with their own people, who could then corrupt the voting system (or something)?

I really thought the whole Courtney-Stodden-is-16 thing was going to end up being a lie or some sort of art project, but 5 years is a long time to commit to a hoax.

She’s doing this for the inevitable gofundme-bigot-money-pay-out, right?

This is bizarre to me, because we studied the internment camps so much in school that basically I learned hardly anything about the war otherwise. (But then, I grew up not too far from Manzanar so maybe that was it?).
