I was recently there, and I could neither drink (pregnant) nor gamble much (other Bachelorette party guests weren’t into gambling) and I still had a great time. Food, shopping (there’s a Rent the Runway store there now!), pools, spas, food. I love Vegas.

I completely understand. You could always do a registry and only people close to you know about it - like your maid of honor, mom, etc. that way people who want the registry can ask them about it but no one feels like they're being told to get gifts.

I didn’t want one either, but at this point it is more for your guests than you. Some people aren’t good at gifts, they want that registry so they can feel like they got you something you’ll actually use.

Maybe she’s just trying to get in some Old Navy commercial campaigns. All the Hollywood Old Money is doing it.

"One of the dumbest shows on TV"? Really? I've seen some pretty dumb shit, man. PLL doesn't even come close to the dumbness I've seen.

It made sense for Dan's character (judgmental, jealous of the "in" crowd, writer, etc.) that he would've been GG all along. But it didn't make sense in the plot at all.

She apparently comes from money as well (which definitely helps establish a fashion/lifestyle blog - pretty sure no one would be interested in my middle class “wear this with everything until the holes get noticeable” fashion sense ;) ).

Extra level of hate-reading shame: her husband is basically a young, somehow toothier, Gary Busey and it is frightening

Exactly. I really don’t understand why everyone thinks you need to maintain parent-child boundaries when your kid is an adult. You're not going to ground her for like, forgetting to pay the electricity bill.

Boundaries between “parent” and "friend" are very necessary when raising your children, obviously. But by the time you’re old enough to get married, why would your mom need to be only your “mom” and not your friend? Why do you still need those boundaries?

Candace Cameron Bure is probably also going to end up coming across more moderate and reasonable than they’d like. She’s generally middle-America-Christian-mom-I’m-praying-for-you right wing, not some crazy fundamentalist (like her brother).

Admittedly, I know very little about the Real-Life Superhero Movement, but I actually think the real-life supervillain is a funny idea that would actually improve the RLSH experience (like, if you were a Civil War reenactor with just a Union army who suddenly is challenged by a fake Confederate battalion). Maybe it

I taught for a few years and I remember the dead-eyed zombie look of my first period class. Practically made me want to keep a fridge stocked with Monster. Their test scores reflected the tiredness, too :(. So frustrating.

I assumed most states had elections for local court judges but am glad to be proven wrong.

Isn't that the vast majority of states?

I’m confused - are they selling the waist trainers in some sort of multi-level marketing scheme or are these women importing the product themselves and running their own businesses? A lot of the jargon up there about these businesses (particularly Jamie Porter’s) sounds like shady MLM-speak...

We got Emily Blunt?! USA! USA! USA! USA!

Microscopes (and sports memorabilia) are already genderless, and can be purchased by either gender. This is about marketing, and it’s not anti-women or saying that women are less than men as sports fans.

Oh I don’t doubt it. I’m just saying I think they'd make for a great reality show.

Winona’s career might also have stagnated because around that time there emerged two younger Winona look-alikes - Natalie Portman and Keira Knightley. And the whole stealing debacle.
