Pretty much what The Shadow said.

It’s not bad reasoning. In fact, it does reflect better on them if they come up with it voluntarily as opposed to having it discovered. Hopefully that will lead to them reevaluating the idea of the list in the first place and discourage them from making it in the future.

As a boy who was in middle school at some point in time, to say that boys didn’t have these kinds of lists or discussions is asinine. There is no gender divide in that regard when it comes to middle school. However, the situation drastically changes in college when you are expected to be more mature and an adult.

So...does this mean I can’t hold a bake sale for charity?

Oof...still too soon. -_-

At that point, punching him in the face is perfectly acceptable.

As we talked, that’s kind of what I gathered, so I did try to lead you there, lol. Yeah, you came across super harsh in your initial post. I totally agree with this post though. There is definitely a lot of personal responsibility involved and adults should be working to protect children and teach them that they

Shame is a powerful motivator to keep things to yourself. I’m incredibly familiar with its power, and it’s especially true in my life right now.

I was 16 or 17 at the time.

I’m not vindicating this family. They should have never had a gun in the home that wasn’t at least locked up. I’m responding to your gross blanket statement that if your child commits suicide that it’s somehow your fault as a parent. I almost killed myself when I was younger, but did eventually turn to my parents.

Good! That’s a good thing! I’m glad your school actually pushes for it. Kudos to them for that. I’m guessing that’s not as much the case with the school in this story, sadly.

I’d imagine it’s because it doesn’t get past the upper administration. If the VPs and Principal don’t care and don’t do anything, then who’s going to get in trouble for not reporting it? Unless you’re video taping the kids social interactions AND have it on tape that they reached out to you but you did nothing,

So, she’s still actively harming people in society. I don’t know if vindication is the right emotion to be feeling...

Look, I’m quick to blame parents for a lot of things and I don’t have kids of my own, but fuck you. There is a huge degree of shame that comes with being bullied. You feel worthless and inconsequential, and even if you love and trust your parents, you might hide it from them because of how much badly you feel about

Depends on the situation. Worked for me, but I had the strength and speed to back it up (which none of the bullies could tell by looking at me until I snapped). Not everyone has that.

I did this, and it worked out for me, but it doesn’t work out for everyone. I was strong and fast enough to stand up for myself. Others aren’t the same way. Also, there are some bullies who will retaliate in numbers, and if you don’t have friends of your own to back you up by getting a teacher to put a stop to a

Kluge, I wish I could star you more than once. You are spot on.

Sick Monty Python reference. Wish I could star this more than once just for that.

More plz.

That’s what they always promise but never follow through and then declare to the people that it was a rousing success because they at least made progress where the democrats did “nothing”, when it’s due to the republicans that nothing got done.
