I specifically want to address your last paragraph. Not all nudity and sex is fanservice. I would encourage you to watch Paradise Kiss or Nana to see examples of sex and sexuality done well in anime with the express purpose of plot and character development.

Moe tends to be its own genre, and I’m not saying fanservice shows like Keijo shouldn’t exist. Keijo is unabashadely 100% fanservice. I’m totally cool with that.
