I’m...not sure where you’re getting the idea that I insist on rigid gender categories. I’m cool with everyone being whatever gender they feel most comfortable in. Link is just canonically male, has been for about 30 years now, and Skyward Sword made it so he pretty much has to be as a result of the curse. Also, if

If they did switch the genders, you’d get the same story just with the female hero rescuing the prince, and I don’t see how that’s any more progressive or empowering.

As a feminist, I’d rather Link be male and see more empowerment to female characters in the Zelda universe like Zelda. I still think they should have added Zelda/Impa portions to Skyward Sword.

I’m actually a feminist and don’t like to ascribe SJW to anything. I don’t see this as an SJW issue, so I’m not sure where you got that from in my comment. I’m just saying if you want the best, most progressive impact, give more autonomy and power to the existing characters. I just think making a female Link is

I’m ok with a female Link for Hyrule Warriors, if that’s what they want to do since it’s not really a canon game, but I still stand by the fact that if we get a playable female character in a Zelda game, it should NOT be a female Link. Give us Zelda, Midna, Impa, or a brand new female character. I still think that

I didn’t know I needed this in my life...

I’m strangely disappointed...

I’ll get to it eventually... >_>

I have yet to see The Wizard. :\

Yes, I stole this gif from a different thread...

I played the game all the way through twice and did non-lethal both times. I had to reload that part SOOO many times. The slight element of randomness really made it a bitch. Oh, and the fact that sometimes EMP grenades would kill people?

The only way in which it’s censorship is Atlus self-censoring themselves to achieve a rating that they feel is more marketable. No government entity is preventing the sale of their product. Also, they could sell their product themselves without using a third party retailer. If you want to be mad at anyone be mad at

What’s happening here is NOT censorship. Censorship would be government regulated BANNING of materials from being sold, not retailers choosing not to stock a product.

Oh, nevermind then.

I was not aware that it was an HD port of the 3DS version. That makes more sense.

I was wondering this as well.

Umm, I think it has more to do with the fact that another news site (non-gaming related) reported on it AND that he got a citation for it. Also, it’s filed under humor, so...

“Oh no! The man is keeping us down! It’s just a vocal minority!”

The best part about the “Ethics in Gaming Journalism” smokescreen, is that, if they are banned from anything, they can just cry “Censorship! See how the man keeps me down? I must be hitting a nerve!”

I agree with you on this one. It wasn’t perfectly handled, but like you said, they’re both so hard and grizzled, and Bruce prides himself on his emotional detachment, that the idea that they’d break down into tears seems silly.
