To be fair, the source code for a lot of those games probably is lost (especially pre-2000), but copies of retail code and ROMs are available.

Same with my CDs from the mid 90s. We heard about them degrading but it seems like if you’re not an idiot with how they’re stored, they hold just fine.

I see this as very much unlike the film industry. Those movies are lost forever. These games are merely not purchasable in a current digital format. They couldn’t even get him to stick around for any of the sequels.  They’re more concerned with getting recognizable names than to have a good story, which has played out like that ever since 2.

He was, and I seem to recall he’s stepped away from the video game side of business after selling to Embracer to handle Gearbox studios, which I think is what the movie is under. If this bombs, maybe he retires to focus on his magic.

And yet after like level 70 or something, loot stops getting better even though it shows a higher level requirement.

You can do that and still run carplay/AA separately.  Or, *gasp* they could build a phone app so the car and phone share that data and can show up in carplay or AA.

Along with this, even their own reporting shows EV sales going up so far this year compared to last year.  This just seems like automakers over-correcting after previous shortcomings combined with high interest rates.  But sure, it has to mean no one wants EVs.
