Dukie - Jalopnik Emergency Management Asshole

Uh, I think you misread what he’s talking about. I think he’s talking about the whole “counterfeit” thing. What he doesn’t realize, is that ICE does it all around the country, and not just for the NFL.

With 3 major airports in close proximity to the game, as well as how ever many small airports are around, there has to be some element ready to take care of airborne threats.

“The Federal Emergency Management Agency is parking Mobile Emergency Response Support units to provide rapid response and manage logistics in the event of a large-scale disaster.”

Uh... sure. Not exactly sure why you put this under medical, but uh... yeah.

Dearest Kenneth Block,

Your move.

Sincerely yours,

No. Just, no. Because there’s some poor bastard like me who would have to fix it because an asshole pilot broke something. I hated that shit and wouldn’t do it to another mechanic. It’s just wrong.

When the pilot spins the gun, it tends to actually shoot. Not something I’d ever ask someone to do to an ally.

Oh, those guys. I had a “run-in” with an Israeli F-16 pilot once. I was the crew chief on the arm end at our base one day. The Israeli’s came to Arizona every once in a while to use the Barry Goldwater range (they might still, it’s been a while for me). Anyway, we had a bunch of A-10s from the two training units

Fan blade icing does happen. I remember having to double check the intakes on the A-10 when they called in with possible rime ice. I’ve never seen it happen, but apparently it can actually bend the blades.

So, did she mean Southern California doesn’t have a subduction zone? Because I'm pretty sure the Cascadia Subduction Zone reaches down to about Eureka.

Now playing

Uhm, he drove into flood waters. Driving anything other than a boat or a DUKW into flood waters is utterly stupid. The half of flood deaths happen because of people driving into flooded streets. Shit’s no joke.

He didn’t say 696, 80 seems plausible on 75 (then again, I haven’t driven on 75 in Detroit in about 3+ years).

So is speeding.

Like I said, my assumption is that since there was congestion, as stated in the story, the R/T driver was driving on the shoulder area of I-94 attempting to take the next exit. That’s usually done at low speed because of all the debris and whatnot on there. If he was flying down the shoulder, it’s a

It’s obvious from the video the Scat Pack was flying. Most likely couldn’t get a plate number.

My assumption is that the shoulder pass was performed in slow moving traffic in an area near where he was pulled over. It’s a common move in Metro Detroit to jump onto the shoulder and get off at the next exit in order to avoid traffic. Now, if he was driving like the Scat Pack, totally different story.

In traffic, I’ve seen quite a few people using the shoulder/breakdown area to get to the next exit. I’m assuming this was what he was admitting to as I’ve seen it on that road before.

Probably speeding, evading arrest, reckless driving...

Now, it’s possible this officer isn’t into automobiles, but how in the ever living hell can you mistake those two vehicles!? The suspect still at large is driving a “blacked out” Challenger, and the poor innocent bastard is driving a “blinged out” Challenger. Not to mention the tail lights being vastly different.

I’m

Neat Dart!

Approach from the side. I’ve done it in a Hush House with an F-16 and just an F-16 engine on a test stand. Double hearing protection is an absolute minimum. I’ve also been inside the cowlings of an A-10 during a max power run. Gotta check for leaks somehow.
