I wish more people would do the medium-format 36-60-issue limited series. Would make my life a lot easier and I’d be more likely to pick up more series, because I know there’s a definite story being told. LOVED that about Punisher MAX, for instance. Wouldn’t care about a regular Punisher volume, but one single series

It really bums me out that DC editorial drives things as heavily as they do. DiDio and Johns have not been good for DC at all, in my opinion. Once you get Johns’ formula, it’s just kinda meh. And the worst part? McDuffie wasn’t allowed to write the JL he wanted to because the characters were in... I want to say it was

They killed Gaz too. Same VA iirc.

I’d never recommend BLOPs to anyone. Only way to make sure is to try Advanced Warfare.

Basically, except that I’m not sure Spec Ops was TRYING to be boring or not. I used to think so, but I’m really not sure.

Yup. That video I linked early on in the article talks about this. Treyarch’s levels are a lot more... overtly-gamey. Like, you walk into a fight and you go “ah, there’s the obvious cover, that’s where the bad guys will spawn, etc.” Plus, the games kinda obsess over gore for gore’s sake, which is weird.

Zero replay value? Call of Duty games are some of my most replayed games out there.

There are good scripted events and there are bad scripted events.

Nah. COD, COD2, CODUO, and AW are worth playing as well. Heck, Ghosts ain’t bad. MW3 has some pretty fun levels, but a really messed up story.

I chose not to include.

It’s not OP, it’s just that Bungie seems to love nerfing hunters. We make fewer orbs. We don’t have any perks for toughness or overshields. Stuff like that. Golden Gun range was reduced, but afaik, it hasn’t been fixed.

It’s not any better, but Bungie has a habit of nerfing and then not-really-fixing Hunter stuff, like when they reduced golden gun range. Hunter items are already the hardest to use (eg, super easy to shut down a supering blade dancer, almost impossible to stop a supering titan or warlock—and they have skills n’ such

i have little faith

They’re going to nerf it and they will be wrong to do so.

I had it in my original draft because I thought it was kinda neat, but ultimately pulled it out for similar reasons. I’m definitely finding that most of the designs I like are older. The more complex designs bum me out.

I wrote the article.

No worries. I get these remarks every time this gets updated. It’s kind of hilarious.

I do have my eye on it, because it was announced over a year after I made the post you’re responding to.

I got an Xbox One last August. ;)

Check my post date. ;)
