First, something like 25-26% or so voted for Trump and I would argue that anyone who willingly supports someone like Trump is, in fact, deplorable due to that support. Giving racism/bigotr/etc a platform where they can seem legitimate is just as bad, if not worse, as actually being on the platform.

Hm, if you do, then I don’t believe you used it appropriately... or I don’t understand exactly how you intended to use it. Nobody here is an arbiter of such a situation, after all.

I am of the opinion that they “care” because they are being sold the idea that they should care. Apple is all about selling that kind of thing and reviewers are more than happy to help. So other companies get on board with it too.

Indeed, it is a feedback loop. And it likely isn’t one we can stop. Even if the people writing the misinformation came out and said it was bullshit, the believers would just think “they” got to them and turn it into another conspiracy theory about the Illuminati and shit.

I would say the disinformation is a symptom of the bias problem. If the bias problem did not exist, the disinformation would likely exist in far, far lower quantities.

I won’t deny that possibility.

NFL Football, uh, has better “ratings” (I assume you mean Nielsen?) than TWD.

The amount of information available is not the problem, the problem is the human mind’s tendency towards confirming its own bias rather than trying to find out the actual truth.

I have always been a fan of polycarbonate as the body material for a phone. Flexible but tough, a better option than the similarly durable, but far less flexible, aluminum Apple is so enamored with.

I am not certain you know what arbiter means nor do I think charlitos is the only one who wishes such a thing.

What, you think he would have even ran if the right did not have those tendencies in mass quantities?

And what if, in two years, we are embroiled in the midst of World War 3 because Trump was Trump and pissed off China or something?

Ah yes, the death panels that the Republicans, specifically Palin, made up because they don’t actually exist as portrayed by Republicans.

Yeah, see, except it isn’t a far more secure operating system. Targeted less (since who wants to target the 5% rather than the 90%?) does not mean it is more secure. In competitions, it is always broken just as easily as Windows.

I, personally, would report them... and would be entirely forthcoming about who it was that did it.

Not nearly as much good as would be done if they stopped existing.

That image is bullshit, Trump is a direct result of the highly regressive, racist, misogynistic tendencies of the right.

The weight of the minority should never be greater than the weight of the majority.

Actively supporting the things you are being called out of spite for being called them is, well, pretty much the best way to say “I almost certainly am the things you are calling or, at the very least, just as bad as they are.”

This stopped being amusing after the 10th one.
