If there was a post it in my work bathroom that said, “Someone is using all the first aid band aids to help break in new shoes,” I’d feel very targeted.

If someone put these notes up in my office I wouldn’t feel targeted.

Rapists are awful, but you don’t put something like that on a wall and frighten everyone to make some kind of point about sexual assault.

Shedd claimed that a male student felt targeted by the notes and no longer left safe attending class.” asshole is in denial about the rapist who literally outed himself. police need to get the name from the principal and find out what he’s been up to.

HOLY BALLZ!

If I was that administrator and a male student approached me “fearing” for his safety, after a series of notes that called out NOBODY in particular for being a rapist...

I would... pat that little f’er on the head and tell him that it will all be okay... while dialing the local sex crime unit with my other

If you feel like the sentence “There’s a rapist in this school” is a bullying attack on you, specifically, despite the fact that you haven’t been named, I think that says something pretty straightforward about you!

If someone feels attacked by a note calling out rapists, perhaps some self-reflection is in order...?

a male student felt targeted by the notes and no longer left safe attending class.

I remember reading years ago, I’ll have to see if I can find a source, that it is not unusual for a rape survivor to have subsequent sexual encounters with their rapist, if the rapist is someone they know, as a coping mechanism in a attempt to rationalize what happened.

Even if she were having sex with Lauer in the regular that does not mean he didn’t rape her when she did not give consent for anal sex. I don’t think a lot of partners understand that. She can say yes for somethings and no to others and when you IGNORE her no, that is sexual assault.

Yes! And not only “she’s the creep,” but “all these women are the creeps” and he’s the poor victim.

Uh, clearly he had that device to be able to barricade himself away from the many women who were trying to force him to cheat on his ex-wife. Have you no respect for the man’s suffering?

Men like this do not think that the rules apply to them in any way, including the rules about how to handle scandals.

This is certainly a bold strategy by Lauer.

This is straight from the Jian Ghomeshi playbook

It is immensely frustrating that Lauer even gets a fucking platform to spout his bullshit at this point. Go ahead and have your little victim complex, Lauer, but we don’t have to give you a megaphone.

You know youre in deep shit when your defense is “That wasn’t a rape, I was just being unfaithful to my wife!”

Somewhere this man's lawyer is banging his head against a wall wondering who in their right mind writes something like this after being credibly accused of a horrible crime

You’d think a guy who has worked for years in media and news would have a much better grasp on how to handle scandal.

What about all those other accusations, Matt? “The guy with a door locking device hidden underneath his desk” is not the most credible person to make the “I’m not a creep, she’s the creep!” argument.
