Cost improvement processes I’d guess.

I don’t hate the shooting brake, but that coupe is gorgeous. I’ll buy a coupe with my imaginary lottery winnings I think.

My first car was a Renault Alliance (a GTA specifically).

While I’ve not met her personally, I’ve hung out with some jet car drivers; crazy people and all of them I’ve met truly LOVE what they do. That woman had more guts than I ever well. It’s terrible to lose someone so young, but at least she was living her dream at the time, not something you can say about everyone.

A few years back I tried to buy a Pontiac G8 GT (new) from a local dealer. I had sold my Grand Prix GTP a few weeks earlier and wanted a new car, as I was driving my wife’s old college car, a beat up 1991 Grand Am.

If this was local, I’d have the seller on the phone now.   Nice deal for a fun car.

I just painted my ‘65 Mustang Laguna Seca Blue, because it’s my favoritest M car color and I’ve loved it since I saw in back in 2003.

M blues for all the cars.

So, my Focus ST has a few years in it, for sure, but if they’d sell this thing here, I’d pick one up either new or CPO when my Focus is done.    Guess I’m getting a Golf R.

I have a Focus ST myself, and I dread the day that I need to replace it, mostly because it’ll probably have to be a Golf R or something similar.

I have an open recall for a CPU reprogram in my Focus ST, that I think has something to do with opening the hatch while moving if I purposely try to.

I have a FRPP tune, done by a dealer, with warranty on the car. I took it in for the recall (and a door latch recall) and informed them of the FRPP tune, and included the

Sounds pretty flat-plane-y to me, but more than that it sounds like a dual clutch shifting, too. The somewhat muted “Blat” of it makes me think turbocharger.

So, I’m guessing twin turbo flat plane V8 with a DCT.

I was looking at a model 3.   If I purchased, I’d be replacing my 3 bedroom house.

I had a 328i E36, and did all the M3 suspension/body goodies on it.   Didn’t bother with the engine swap because, meh.   Sold it a while back, but it was a fun car overall.   I might pick up a 4 door M3 sometime and put an LS1/T56 in it.   I figure 400 HP to the tires would be super-fun in that chassis.

I street raced. A lot. Even in a town in Indiana with <350k people, it was big time back in 03-08 era. We would meet up in lots and hang out, and every hour or so, after about 11 PM, we’d run out to an empty section of road in farmland (with no houses/crossroads/etc) and a stop light that could be triggered, and race.

Kudos to this guy, but I hope the secondary market for these craters in the future.    Speculation on car process has priced way too much metal way too high.    If you buy cars as an investment to hide away and never drive, you suck.

Building an “Us vs. Them” mentality is a great way to drive up employee production...

Perhaps, but I very much like my Focus ST. I got in a minor fender bender (rear ended at about 7-8 mph) and I’ve had a Corolla rental for a week and I miss the heck out of my ST. Supposed to be done today, but no word from the body shop yet.

I looked at a GTI when I picked up my ST, but I had poor luck with my last two

You’re exactly right. I own an American car, but it’s not designed here, it’s from Europe (Focus ST) and I can’t even buy a new one next year. That means it’s back to the Germans or Japanese for me (or maybe Koreans) because no one in America makes a car I’m interested in for daily driver duties.

The problem with our

Oh that’s a terrible idea. I want it, but it’s a terrible idea. Basically, that’s the car version of almost every girl I dated in high school.

I have a 2013 Focus ST. It had a couple of recalls (door latch and a computer tweak that I believe did something with rear hatch release while moving). I have a dealer installed (and warrantied) Ford Racing Performance Parts tune. I took it in to a dealer, along with the flash tool, to have the recalls done. I
