I mean, A for effort but C- for execution. It varies between “ok” and “gross”depending on angle. I’m more of a Vantage fan than DB9, but the DB9 is hard to improve upon, aside from maybe the DBS. This…. Just doesn’t work, for me at least.

My first car was a Renault GTA (Alliance). It was fine in that it got good fuel mileage, but sub-awesome in that it was perpetually broken. I suppose walking to work was safer than driving though, so.

I drive about 12-15 miles a day.

1986 Mazda RX7

Lots of suspension engineers up in here with very little info, author included.

I missed a local Boxster S stick shift with electrical problems for 2500 obo a little while back. It was already gone by the time I found the ad and called.

If this was within a reasonable drive of me, I’d own it.   NP.

FWIW, with regard to redline, I’ve spent a lot of time in LS motors that turn pretty good RPM.    We went to 8100 RPM in my friend’s twin turbo LS (actually LQ9) RX7 at the last half mile.    That’s not a low amount of revs by any measure.

I’ve had unintended acceleration once.   My ‘98 Grand Prix had a cruise control cable break and stick in the throttle assembly, holding the car at about 3/4 throttle.   Towards a corner.   That was exciting.   I kicked it in neutral and then shut the engine off and coasted down.     Exciting.

If they pull that off, I’d buy one. With incentives it’s way cheaper than my 4 Series.

I’m strongly considering a mechanical sequential conversion for the TR6060 in my Mustang.   I have a dash setup to be able to display my gear already and it looks like a ton of fun.    Now I just have to self justify spending 2k dollars on a shifter because “it looks like fun”.

I’ve had some less than great experiences with AEM, particularly in customer support (I just ripped 3500 dollars of their electronics out of my car to go to a different brand and have done the same for 2 other cars), but it’s cool to see someone stepping into this arena, I hope MoTeC and others follow suit.

I’m bummed

Has no one learned from Tesla that you don’t need to make the electric cars look weird? Just make them not suck, and just different enough to show your neighbors how green and superior you are.

I’m just a lowly 428 owner, but I’d pony up for something like this if it just looked normal.    That looks dumb.

Meh. I took a ‘65 Mustang and chopped it all up and made it a better car (modern suspension, brakes, drivetrain, interior, etc).

I -did- take all the stuff I didn’t use and offer it for sale/free (wheel hubs, factory brake parts, factory suspension parts, etc.) for those that want their cars to drive like garbage for

Looks like when it’s time to trade in my current 4 series, I’ll be looking at Audi or Mercedes.

CPO Audi or Mercedes seem like winners to me.

I run the middle on my daily driver. I want it to be engaging and a nice car to drive, but I care more about features and quality than flat out performance. My current daily is a 428i X-Drive GranCoupe. I could have bought a 435i, but the 428 was fast enough and I’m less likely to try and hop it up. It’s a very

...I kinda like it.

The last two cars I purchased (from dealers) the negotiating was pretty easy. I looked for a car roughly in the price range I wanted (both cars were SLIGHTLY above, just a grand or two on a car in the 30s), did the test drive, determined I wanted the car, and said “here’s my monthly payment target and loan term”.

Both

Uhh, Torch, that Cosmo is a 2 rotor, and you’re insane.
