I’ve never been much of an Impala guy, excluding an odd love for the Caprice based SS of the late 90s. That said, this one just ticks the right boxes for me. It’s nice, it manages to be a big car without looking huge, the pricing is reasonable, performance is okay, materials inside don’t suck, it’s just an all around

Well the easy solution to test that theory would be to scale it against the other jets nearby and see if that makes sense, size wise.

I’ve never been much of a Veyron fan, but that actually looks great. The added “attitude” makes all the difference.

I have friends in racing from local small time stuff all the way up to top tier sanctions. She sounds like she has the right attitude and hits a lot of they points that they have said as well. She clearly has some talent, too. Hopefully she can keep the funding going, racing is an addiction, and an expensive one at

What are you talking about? My Dad hunts, deer primarily, and we eat every bit of that that can be reasonable eaten. The processor, an Amish family, uses the rest of the animal for various other purposes. In fact, while I’m not a hunter myself, I grew up around a great many of them, and not a single one of them would

Yay! Yay! Yay! Yay! HAPPY!

Not weird per se, but awesome... Upon dismantling a wrecked 1999 Camaro we bought for its drivetrain, my buddy and I found almost 100 dollars in Sacajawea gold dollar coins. Considering the car was 1000 dollars, it was quite a nice find. All under the carpet!

I feel like I shouldn’t like those wheels, but for some reason, it just works. Beautiful car, and a really, really nice price. I’d love to drive that!

It still reminds me an awful lot of the BMW 1/3 series for some reason. That’s not at all a bad thing though. It’s a pretty car. Should be great to drive both days a week it works!

BMW did that on the 540...

Whoops, my fault. Sorry about that.

Most of the serious stuff could never take a corner or stop and go traffic, but depending on where you live some places will plate anything. You could drive them a little ways on methanol instead of nitro though, if you really wanted.

Are you a Gast?

Why do you want 750 HP in a street car?

Why the hell wouldn’t you?

I could probably put together a little facts and pictures thing if someone was interested. I know a lot more about the asphalt side than the dirt stuff though, so it’d probably need to be on that to be useful. Between myself and a good friend that’s a crew member on a current T/F dragster we could probably put

Yeah, tumbling is bad. Getting the hell away from the bike is key also. Big hot fiery thing that weighs 1000 lbs and is unpredictable is a bad thing to be close to in a crash.

Fairgrounds or dedicated, yeah.

The best ones push ~1500+ HP. The former “Fire and Ice” bike of Ron Webb ran a 6.04 at nearly 230 mph on asphalt on the same setup it uses on dirt. That’s 1/4 mile times vs. 300’ on dirt, but yes, a TON of power. The bike in question is a blown 4 cylinder on nitro. The nitro Harleys make a bit less power, but still

Speeds are lower, dramatically, on dirt and equipment is pretty good. Tracks however are quite a bit less safe than professional quality places they race asphalt bikes at. There aren’t a lot of severe injuries that I’m aware of, but looking at the guardrail in the above video (and common at these places) it’s a matter

My uncle races Top Fuel bike on asphalt but started on dirt 30+ years ago. I have a fair amount of knowledge on both sports as I used to work on the asphalt racing team. Many of the dirt drag bikes are former asphalt bikes. I can help with some questions of you guys have any.
