Since I was a kid, I had this idea of what the "electric pen" sounded like. It likely doesn't sound as I imagine it to sound like. It is weird that all these years after I learned of the device, the imagined sound of it still comes to mind.

Sit in some time at 911. The are overloaded as it is. The phone helps them properly communicate, screen, and prep responders. While I like the idea, in most cases if you can text you can call.

Or even better, Bluetooth off.

Beyond a USB or other storage device (as others note) I bet the device sends the information to an external processing and storage center also. Chances are, like some gambling devices and ATMs, that for security it has to be connected constantly to a remote verification system to insure that the system isn't tampered

@CHUCK1UP: First thing I thought of also, but I had never seen anything beyond the gigantic building/arrays. I also could not remember the name, but I should have thought phased array warning system would from PAWS.

@NorthernRoamer: It's late, and the dyslexic with a third grade spelling level is using an iPad with poor inherent spelling correction. I likely would have missed that regardless. Thank you.
