I seem to remember the biggest evidence ‘socialism’ is bad was crop mismanagement causing mass starvation. some fella named Stalin or sumthin? will be interesting to see how the American rendition of that plays out.

Expect it to get worse when the farmers, who are already getting shafted due to the weather and the easily winnable trade war, have vegetable crops rotting in the fields because migrant workers aren’t available.

My sister worked in the offices of a food processing plant some years back. At one point there was an ICE raid (only because of a whistle-blower), several workers were arrested but, of course no managers, HR people, executives or owners. Undocumented replacements were hired within a couple of days.

I’ve already heard complaints about the rising cost of food.

I hate it when Conservatives bring up gun violence in Chicago. They’ll tell me how they can’t visit there anymore, as it’s just too dangerous. As if, they’re truly going to areas where most of the gun deaths are.

They’ll be fined some amount of money that still doesn’t come close to the money they saved by paying people low wages under the table. Then they’ll find more undocumented people and do it again.

The people that are for this clearly don’t know or care how their steaks and bacon get to the table.

And I’m sure not one boss who hired an undocumented worker will be arrested.

Yep.  He has bestowed her with his approval over her brothers.  I have said this here before but he is grooming her to be the first President and probably have her run after this election.  He has been making her stand in for him at some of these summit meetings, quips like this, and that she is an advisor to him so…

Those who use Chicago gun violence as a retort in debates don’t actually give a shit about Chicago’s gun violence. 

I’m just curious what she thinks she or the administration are doing about gun violence? Because deflecting from the current conversation isn’t doing anything for anyone.
