1. Unless this straw is something less than a type 5 plastic, it’s no more or less recyclable than any other straw. Many recyclers don’t accept them either because it’s a high level plastic and because they are small and aren’t captured by the machinery very well.

The “liberal paper straws” comment is window-lickingly dumb, but they make a good point, they don’t work. However, as an alternative take: in general, Fuck Straws. You’re an adult, just put the cup on your lips.
