I actually don’t completely doubt this one. Those cars did have very comfortable rides, and were themselves sometimes used as base cars for stretch conversions.

And all of those guys could fit in the back seat. My mom had one of those. To say it was big would be an understatement.

Steve McGarett wants a word with you now. Danno, Chin!

Hard top? C’mon Agent Greer. It’s hot as hell in Dallas today and look at Jackie’s beautiful pink outfit that no one will get to see. Give me a convertible.

I hear ya. Courtesy of a previous owner my midget has sheet metal welded in over the top of the rotted pans. One of these years I’ll get around to correcting that mess.

I like to call it misguided confidence.

No tool kit? Brave. Or foolish.

They will if you insure your car with someone that understands what it is. Call up your average insurance company and they’ve got no idea what most cars 10+ years old are. Try calling Haggerty (or similar) and they’ll insure it properly. You’ll pay extra for it, though, but if you’re not willing to pay a little extra

The problem with the general design of lucas electrics is that their idea of saving money and simplifying their systems were to more or less bypass resistors to drop the current down to appropiate levels for the various other electrical devices like the windshield wiper motors and radio etc and to simply try and make

if they’ve corrected the electricals to a negative ground and the floors aren’t rotted I can totally see making an offer on that car but I’d be lowballing at 3 something tops. They really aren’t that much fun to drive. I fell in love with a TR6 pretty similarly to you and this one it seems

Round fender cars? What do you mean?

Small (LOL) rips on the upholstery” and destroyed door gasket and what else... $7,500 seems a little too much to me, just considering that should it be totaled in a crash, every insurance won’t pay the owner more than $500.

These cars are almost a perfect, iconic representation of the horrid mechanical and electrical awfulness that is period 70's British cars. Lucas electrical systems and all. I’d say if someone buys this they’re doing you a big favor so that you won’t have to spend every weekend fixing something.

I’d like to note that Michigan only marks some of the freeways with slower traffic keep right. There should be more consistent signage. Not like the left lane campers have enough common sense to see and obey them...anyway.

Bravo!

Screw it. Ticket ‘em. If they’re so obtuse they don’t know the law (even when many highways already have signs saying “slower traffic keep right” or some permutation of the same) and so self absorbed they don’t notice or care they’re leading a huge parade, they deserve a ticket.

Extremely.

Volvo Brick Love is a very real thing.

I’m so jealous! I lost mine way back in ‘92. :-(
