Do motorcycles count? Riding back from a concert near the Twin Cities, I got stuck in a severe thunderstorm... 50-60mph winds, driving rain, marble-size hail, the works. I saw the storm coming and tried to make it to some shelter I saw ahead, but the wind hit before I could get there. Imagine blasting down a two-lane

@new22003: Wow; did you see one of the questions on that auction? A guy from [chevycelebrity.com] was asking for hi-res photos for his site.

@mechimike: "Transportation Appliances" is exactly what they were. My wife & I bought a used '87 Celebrity wagon with the 2.8L FI — I dubbed it "the Fridge" — and that was one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned. It turned out 30+mpg on road trips and high 20's around town (with my wife driving!) We finally sold

It pushes back? Kinda like Indian Leg Wrestling I suppose, or maybe a game of footsie. Either way, I'd kick it's ass.

Just the thought of a V8-powered MGA is enough carrot on a stick to keep me motivated for years. Too bad the seller pulled the ad... Got a screenshot of it?

delete "like there".

Gee, Wes; you wrote that piece like there with enough sarcasm to make it sound like Spinelli did something wrong... What's the problem?

@Dave7: Have to agree; buy both & put the V8 in the RX7. Then, just for fun, drop the Rotary in the Caprice and put it up for sale on Craigslist.

@GasGuzzler: I don't really get the leasing = bad financial move thing either. Personally, I don't lease vehicles (I buy used and milk them for all they're worth) but if a person tends to buy new and trades every few years, buying makes poor financial sense because of the steep depreciation. With the right leasing

Cars are meant to be driven, not hoarded. See Toy Story.

The Jeneane Garofalo Paradox? No paradox for this red-blooded American male. All she's got to do is open that trap of hers to speak and.... Ugh. That negative (along with the Ugly) more than cancels out anything positive she has going for her.

Classy. href="#c6938676">racerx: Deathtrap; Awesome!

Basket case? It doesn't look that bad. Did you ever find the bright yellow IHC Scout? Or should I just be patient?

It's kinda cute, in the same way as a bulldog is cute. But without the cute part.

@Grrrrrrrrr: That or, "Say Bob; you've been a real jackass of late, and everyone is really tired of it. Sorry, but we all voted, and Lenny here has a can of whoop ass with your name on it. Nothing personal, but we hope you learn something from it."

Ok, I think I need some help here; KITT in the new series is a late-model Mustang, and this monstrosity comes into play in what way? Or wait; did that start out as a late-model Mustang? Good grief.

Almost forgot; my vote went to the Triumph. Almost tied up!

Loved the video for the Fitspire, especially the part about, "... right in the middle is a 400 amp circuit breaker if all goes wrong." Mighty handy spot for that emergency kill switch. Wonder where the fire extinguisher is.

If the drawing is correct, it looks like this thing still has a whopping V8 in front... What about the true gas/electric (or diesel/electric) hybrid, as used in locomotives? A decent sized electric motor linked directly to the driveshaft, a small bank of batteries, and a diesel or gas engine optimized to provide

I was paying around $3.85 a gallon this past weekend while on a little vacation. Trouble was, I was driving a borrowed V10 Excursion pulling a camper. 11.3mpg. The worst damage was a fill-up in the $115 range. Ouch. The thing has gobs of power and plenty of room, but oh those fill-ups hurt.
