Wow. If you hack off the roof from the passenger compartment and "Huric-amino" the thing, it's a little reminiscent of the Hot Wheels Deora II. Only way different.

How did I miss this QOTD? Dang!
Red Green is the MAN! @paul_y: I was thinking of his cigarette car project too. That thing was awesome.
This was the easiest PCH in a long, long time. Once I saw the FC, I didn't even need to know what it's up against.
Some of the customs you see at shows remind me of a guy in my high school class who had the hottest car around; '69 Chevelle, 454, narrowed rear end, wheelie bars, gorgeous black paint job, the works. Of course, his dad ran the local speed shop, plus he subsidized what daddy couldn't provide by shopping at Midnight…
The windshield is too tall. It needs that chopped look.
@Atlien: Hey now; I had a '72 VW Fox, and thought that was a right handsome car. I could use a lot of adjectives to describe it, but ugly wouldn't be one of them.
It'd have to be the Plymouth minivan the wife drives now. We bought it the day we left to pick up our kids from a camp 1600 miles away. We had a Ford Aerostar that had some front end problems and was in the shop, but the mechanic needed a part that he couldn't get for three days. We were planning on replacing the…
@Kelly: That's a bit harsh isn't it? After all, anybody who drives a Prius and also hops on an airliner a couple of times a year blows any environmental benefit out his rear.
The shag carpet treatment and the fuzzy dash on the Dodge seals the deal for me, even without a view under the tonneau cover. Plus I'd barely fit in the 600.
I've got a 14 year old son who is pretty mechanically gifted, and have been thinking a lot lately about his first car, and how much of a project he & I are willing to dive into. I recently saw a local CraigsList ad for a mid-'80's Volvo wagon with engine problems, and start thinking it'd be a great SBC or Chevy V6…
This car is awesome, but "more modern suspension" is kinda relative; what was the last automobile (aside from 4x4's and trucks) to have a solid front axle?
Awesome! Can't wait for the updates!
Tied them up - 8 votes each!
Wow, what a turnaround! When I made my first comment, there were only a handful of votes, but overwhelmingly for the VW. Go Kaiser!
More = Better
Whoever this guy is, I'd like to meet him. Gotta be some kind of character. @RamV10: I'd say go for it. It'd be worth the trip just to talk with the guy and see this beastie in person.
My heart says "Checker", but my brain says "Jimmy". Had to go with the brain on this one, especially seeing rust like that on a car that supposedly has only 32,000 miles on it. What, did they forget to prime it, then paint it with latex?
Two words; that sucks. And just at the time when the wife & I are looking to replace the aging minivan. I really don't want another minivan, but I also don't want an SUV or a simple 4-door, the import wagons are too small, and I really don't care for the Chrysler wagons... I may have to go retro and pick up a…
I voted for the Grand Am — always been one of my favorites — but was torn between that and the Eldo. Then again, the Camaro's were ok too...
