So what are the plans for the beast? Sleeper with turbocharged 460 won the poll, but that's just us.

I bought an '81 Scrambler brand new off the lot with the straight 6 in it. I think it was the first year they had the plastic valve cover; stupid thing was leaking oil all over my shiny new (but slightly muddied) engine within 6 months. Had the gasket replaced several times before the warranty ran out.

I kinda like it. Looks like you could slap a plate hitch on the back bumper & haul a 5th-wheel around behind it.

I think I built something similar to this once...

There's an outfit in PA that does this with newer pickups & makes limos out of them. Why? I sure as hell don't know.

@combat chuck: I'm with Chuck; if the current holders of the brands obviously can't do much with them, but with a new infusion of blood, they could go gangbusters. Oldsmobile is one that I'd like to see brought back in this manner.

I would think you'd be able to produce a work ticket and/or receipt from the tire shop to verify it was in their hands during the time in question. No?

@HDC: That's what first hit me; hooning at 71. Go for it gramps!

@TWHansen: You're right; Moon bought the transporter, never finished it, and it ended up with the Airheart Brake Corp. until the late '80's. That's the last word of it that I was able to find (I did way too much digging around for it last night).

The three El Caminos, please, with extra trim on the side. Thx.

Probably number one great time offroad was back in high school, chasing jackrabbits through pastures at night, usually in my '71 Duster. Those buggers (the rabbits) run fast & turn on a dime; it was great fun!

The windshield & quarter panel look Mustangish to me; I'd say gen 4 Mustang (with a V6, no doubt!) under all that crap.

I voted for the Diablo for PCH; very fitting.

Assuming money is not an object in the decision, Ferrari.

@TonyD: Ditto. The current crop of BMW's can't hold a candle to the 850; one drop-dead gorgeous car.

Stude, hands down. The tracks alone would've sold me on it, but "climb itself upside down" sealed the deal. Besides, the Kraka doesn't look like much more than a goofy looking tractor.

Let's save a spot in the Fantasy Garage for this one, OK?

Why even ask?

Wert: '92 Caddy for your first car?? How old was that thing when you got it (or how old were you)? Child of privilege or what?

That's no hoon; just an idiot.
