What’s the big deal? After all, they’re not lootboxes, they’re fun presents!!

I mean, you could just keep playing the original. I was impressed by the combat on this.

No, you stupid asshole, maybe put yourself into the shoes of the people actually making the game and putting in the time to create the product. Think about it. For one second. Would you want to put in three years of 40-80 hours a week on the product, then have sniveling assholes piss and moan at you directly, often

Oh wow, you really converted me.

No fucking shit. Gamers can be some of the most entitled assholes ever. Why the hell would someone want to engage with spoiled shits who armchair game develop, as if content and features are as easy to make as a meme template.

Then don’t play it, and let the people that do have their fun.

Unfriendly reminder that that is illegal unless you own all the games, that your solution is likely to be as or more expensive than the retro box depending on what the user owns (I for example do not own a USB keyboard, just the wireless Apple Magic Keyboard), that some people want to pay for aesthetics (which is no

We’ve all taken a vote and decided your reminders aren’t obligatory anymore. We get it, and it’s bordering on off-topic.

You’ve posted twice about the Retro Pi in this same article! Go 3D print a case for your bootleg console or something.

Friendly reminder that not everyone wants to deal with your nerd box.

The family was really dysfunctional though. This is nowhere near fake drama. They barely talked to each other for about 10 years, Junior sued his father, as well as one of his old colleague who stayed in the father’s garage (the son started its own shop). I get the fake stuff is annoying, but this stuff right there

This must be the GBA generation. I’m older. I’ve never been a fan of handhelds. Games on a small screen have less of an impact for me. It’s gotta be on a big ol’screen.

Playing a game wrong isn’t a great message

No, you don’t.

How is it similar when they’re telling people they can send them in to be fixed?

This can only be a good thing, in my opinion. It stands to reason that if you actually paid for something, you’re going to be more honest about it. Positive or negative.

I don’t get why they’re bothering with a physical release on Switch, then. If manufacturing the carts is too expensive, why not stick to download only? Added manufacturing costs are a big part of why indie games skip retail releases to begin with.

This has nothing to do with Nintendo - they are accurate in their statement. The price is determined by the games publisher. And in this case the publisher even explained it... there really isn’t that much of mystery. Porting a game to a new platform does take time and cost money. It’s unusual how the publisher is

I am 100% on the opposite end of this spectrum. Who cares if someone farms for XP in a game where it means next to nothing?
