I live in England. Guns are banned. There are no mass shootings. Bans seem to be working just fine here. People were once allowed to own guns here, now they're not.

Right so just because your particular guns haven't killed anyone, doesn't mean a gun's primary function isn't to kill. Please tell me another use for a gun? You can kill someone with a hammer, but its primary function is for building purposes. A knife can kill, but it can also cut.

I don't really see the issue here. 100 years ago, women may have been having children earlier, but they were also having more of them, and well into their 40s. There was lots of harmful, horrible things that could mutate our cells then too. Those later in life babies turned out to be fine.

Basically if the plane crashes or gets into an emergency, a dog strapped into a seat cannot follow flight attendant instructions, which poses a risk to other passengers (yeah, neither do babies, but they are compact 10-15 lb humans vs your dog). In the event the plane goes down, and you have to make an emergency exit,

It's all very shady, and the news stories keep changing.

Man, you missed the specifics that makes this case shady.

It should have been stated, but I would say the cooling in the gulf of Alaska is pretty important, as it is a major food supply source for America and Canada. It's all part of the same trend, but I suppose a 2 paragraph post that didn't particularly care for the facts wouldn't delve into that.

How is that massive chunk of Western and Central Alaska, which is blue, part of the ocean? Alaska is a pretty big place, that blue area would account for quite a big chunk of America if the areas were superimposed over each other.

I don't think its so simple as sharing. I imagine this is because both cultures have a strict set of religious laws they live by, which are incompatible together.

"But here's a weather-related fact somewhat less likely to ruin your next dinner party: anyone born in or after April 1985 (which would make them 27) has never lived through a month that was colder than average. Ever."

So, I gained a bit of weight this summer because I ate my feelings due to a crap breakup, and I began running. It's been two months, I do it three times a week, and I'm lucky because I'm a single lady who doesn't have kids to deal with, but dammit if I don't feel better. I haven't really lost any weight, but you know

I'm not surprised, we had the same issue with our seasonal employees at the theme park I worked at. Sadly, when you are paying practically minimum wage and can only offer short term employment, you're going to have a hard time appealing to people who take the job seriously on a professional level. It really pisses me

Well, my take on the whole thing is that Dunham and Moran practice feminisim, which is "feminisim for people like me!" and don't necessarily care if anyone else gets the equality they are asking for, whereas there is a much more inclusive feminist discourse where we are working to level the playing field for everyone.

BEFORE You have ANY sexual contact.

I guess not, seeing as how I have lived in both the US and now live in the UK and use the NHS frequently, for a variety of services, and have friends who have had the disability benefit due to accidents. Please, enlighten me.

They really don't do that over here, though. If she has mental anguish, she will be given free mental health care, if this affects her ability to work, she will go on a disability allowance. If it means she can't provide for herself, she will be given a council house/flat. If she can't drive to the doctors office,

It's the NHS- the tax payers will cover the cost of this.

I will NEVER forget this- I was raised a Mormon, and when I was about 11 years old, my Sunday school teacher said to the entire class "Mormon boys have more power in just their pinky, than all non-Mormon boys combined" and when I asked what powers girls have I was told "Girls can have babies"
