Ooorrr, you know, you could just let people play whatever they want, Mr. Fun Police.

Not on your life lol

No

faster != better

This moment especially reminds me of the first time I played against someone outside my circle and realized just how average I was.

Kudos for the attempt at inquiry. That’s really cool of you.

Also, a note to Kotaku reader Ojitheunseen, who asked last Friday if we’d ask Nintendo if they’d manufacture more GameCube component cables (or release the schematics of them).

And yet, some people believe that Melee players should “move on” despite pouring their soul into this game that they clearly love. Melee is a beautiful anomaly.

I’ve watched since 2008 when they played at random people’s houses I’m so happy and proud of how far the community and players have come. Last nights tournament was one of maybe even the best ever. The crowd was electric and twitch hit 114k viewers for a 15 year old game.

Thanks! Don’t tell, but it’s my favorite game.

I really love your coverage of Smash content Cecilia.

Poor Zhu.

Nintendo press release, May 5:

Are they not aware of The Smash Bros, the 9-part documentary about the entire history of competitive Melee and actually a pretty informative watch, even for those who don’t follow Smash or eSports in general? Sure, the production value is higher on HTC’s video (what with being an actual company with money and all),

Now playing

HTC have gone and made a documentary series about pro Smash Bros. players. The first episode is pretty good!
