I saw that too. My first thought, honestly, was about where we’d even get the money to pay for that. My bet is funds would be funneled away from teacher salaries or other education needs. So teachers go even more underpaid but hey, we’ve got “good guys with guns” in school!

I started seeing a therapist this year for my anxiety, but almost half of our conversations relate to politics every session. I mentioned this in another post, but there is a difference between appreciating a culture (imitation is flattery, right?) and appropriation (misrepresenting a culture’s values intentionally or unintentionally). Like you said, it’s a fine line that will continually be discussed and debated.
