Having your arms crossed over the steering wheel is a great way to break your face and arms when the airbags go off.
Keep in mind that Ford’s turbo for is a 2.3 not a 2.0. 15% more displacement does wonders for output. 270 +15% is 310hp which is right on top of the Ford for specific output. Not that specific output means jack shit in the real world, but it’s interesting for comparing engines. My guess is that 130-140hp/liter makes…
That should help keep the resale value up on the old model.
Your forgetting one extremely important point. Braking, cornering, and high speed stability are all shot to shit. Wacked out suspension geometry that causes the car to ride on the bump stops and the tires to roll on a fraction of their contact patch reduces the cars dynamic abilities by about 90%. Not only is this…
#6. I’d buy an Excursion today if it were still available. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but it would fit my needs perfectly. Big time towing, diesel power and mileage, 3 row seating, 4WD? Check 4x.
This one needs a bit of help, both mechanically and cosmetically, but as it’s a car built in Japan, it’s nothing that a 10 mm socket, a few free weekends, and some overnight parts from Harry’s can’t solve.
I’m a total Ford homer and geek out over this stuff... Most people were probably more interested in the Audi/BMW sales numbers (yawn).
I think you were incorrectly corrected. It is accurate that that the CD4 chassis debuted in 2013, however the only vehicles on that chassis are the Fusion, MKZ, and the 2015 Ford Edge. The Flex was introduced in 2009 to replace the Freestyle/Taurus X
Not bad ratings for the Flex considering it’s riding on the D4 chassis that can trace it’s roots back to the Volvo P2 platform from the late 90’s.
Just variations on the Hofmiester kink.
Not everyone is into conspicuous consumption or paying a premium for the Lexus badge. The RX pricing picks up where the Highlander stops. You can get a base RX with FWD for $41k, or for $45k you can get a loaded AWD Highlander. I’m sure your getting nicer materials and more “style” with the Lexus, but to some buyers…
Mmmm.... bourbon (or rye) and coke. Nectar of the gods.
Most (or possibly all?) bank checks or cashiers check will have a phone number to call for verification. You don’t even need to go to the bank too verify it.
Lets not forget that the industry also helped crash the economy a few years ago.
So PepBoys looking LED’s int the headlight cluster are less egregious than “economy turbo’s”. I though this was Jalopnik? I must have clicked on the “tree hugger and LED fan-boi” website link instead....
Nuetral: Towing capacity - truck > van
Lunatics and serial killers rarely do things that add up, but I’m with you on this one. Something other than a car sale is likely going on here.
Processing power most likely. The lack thereof is why the current system is laggy and slow
