It's like a safety valve to keep the trans alive! I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to bash FCA.

Good catch (you're). I'm getting sloppy!

Your doing it wrong, the screw goes from the inside out.

I think by "shield" they mean "crest" or "logo". Pretty sure this has nothing to with bedliners, but what the hell do I know!

I agree, the 97-03 design was to soft. Ram went macho in '94, Ford should have followed... The 04 redesign fixed the problem though.

It's new product and people want to see it in the flesh. Pictures only do so much. Seeing the vehicle in person and looking at the design and quality of materials is important in a luxury purchase, it's not a commodity that you order from Amazon. Volvo's approach seems short sited, but what do I know...

I could see a hotted up Fusion as part of the program (AWD, manual, 2.3 turbo). I think we'll see another mega HP Mustang as well; sort of what the GT500 was to the Boss 302. I mean they need to put the Trinity motor in something right?

Unless he's hitting the jack points(which it doesn't look like) then he's probably doing some damage. If it was my car I'd be pissed and the cops would get involved.

And she knows how to use them!

Couldn't this theoretically happen to any vehicle that has suspension damage? Shouldn't the trailing arms be replaced as part of the repair from a crash? I guess I don't understand why VW is responsible for damage that occurred after the car was built.

I agree, a pretty good effort for a mid-cycle face lift and warm over. They really need to move it off of the D3 platform (along with the Taurus, MKS, Flex, etc); the interior packaging suffers as a result.

@48 seconds "22 maximum" I almost fell out of my chair.

Lateral forces are transmitted to the chassis through the control arms, not the dampers.

What numbers? The track times that nobody knows about yet? What exactly didn't Ford do?

You've apparently never attempted to replace or repair rusted body panels. I'll take a car with mechanical problems all day over on with rust issues.

If yo get the chance hook up a trailer with about 5000lbs (a smaller Chris Craft for example) and see how it does. I'm sure it's fine, but inquiring minds want to know!

Prefamulated amulite!

You win the internet today!

Thanks for giving me another reason to hate Malcolm Gladwell.
