I don't think CVT's have reached that sort of torque capacity.

Get ready for them. GM and Ford are working together to launch a 10spd for RWD applications (trucks mostly). They are expected to be introduced within the next 1.5-2 years.

Pretty cool, I bet that thing is a load of fun. I really wanted to do that swap when I had mine, but never had the money. Wound up getting the RX-7 later.

Rain stability sounds like a tire issue. The old Ranger's are tail happy, but it shouldn't be a death trap. Have you checked your tires recently (tread depth, over/under inflated).

1994 Ford Ranger (2.3l, MTX, 2WD) with A/S tires. Absolutely no traction from the rear tires even with 400lbs of sand in the back. An open diff didn't help either. I could drift that motherfucker for a mile straight in the snow though...

Just because it's iconic doesn't make it beautiful.

The motorcycle that would get me BACK into riding would be the one that wouldn't be grounds for divorce. Unfortunately that motorcycle doesn't exist in my world...

Correction, 5,000hp. Still a sweet looking motor!

Those Scion tC rotors and pads are shared with approximately 9 million other Toyota models so this procedure is pretty much bang on for a LOT of late model Toyota's.

Those headers are fucking legit!

The Malibu is outclassed but they still moved 170,000 of them in 2013. It seems like just having a car available in the midsize class is a recipe for six figure sales.

Thomas, it's called sarcasm. The trip you described is the exact one I took, but compared to a regional airport where the rental counters are typically right next to baggage claim, ATL is a hassle.

It all depends on where you're going which is the point of smaller, regional airports. They're great if they are near where you are going. On my most recent trip to ATL I was heading to Carrollton so a direct flight to Paulding would have been 10 minutes and 10 miles closer, not to mention not having to deal with

That was sarcasm in case you hadn't noticed. Smaller airports are easier to get in and out of and things like baggage claim, ticketing, and rental counters are much closer to the terminals. Atlanta is huge and even with the shuttles it is not convenient to use.

Having just flown into ATL I can confidently say that they could use a smaller, more convenient airport. To get from the A terminal to ground transportation (rental cars) takes about 3 hours and 15 different shuttles...

DONK

This doesn't surprise me a whole lot. Start with a company that has middle of road reliability on a good day (Chrysler) and add on a bunch of new product that was pushed out the door as fast as possible and you get lots of problems. Hopefully FCA's poor showing is the result of a lot of first/second year production

Lincoln should do the high volume models first; aka small and midsize sedans and crossovers. After that they can work on the sport and large vehicles. Lincoln needs sales and profit to survive.

Oops...

Came here expecting to see metal being stamped, forged, and cast. Instead I get an assembly line video.
