That was my thought. That's the kind of action that I take with people that I know, which probably means that we're likely to be Friended on Facebook (which I rarely use outside of a work capacity) because they pressured me into Friending them earlier.

To my understanding, it's referred to as Greek Life because the organizations often identify themselves using letters from the Greek alphabet (for example, this article describes activities performed by members of Gamma Psi). Ideally they should be called fraternities or sororities.

There's supposed to be a social benefit that extends beyond college and into your career moving forward. I think that the idea is that you gain leadership skills, learn to work as a group, administrate and plan for events, and make friends, all while gaining contacts that may help in the future.

I have no idea what the fuck is going on in this article. I need more coffee.

All of the dogs that my family ever owned were rescue dogs. Most were just dogs given to the shelter because their owners couldn't care for them any more, but we did have one or two that were abused by their prior owners. They were sweet and well-intentioned, but in the early years were very prone to being overwhelmed

Try getting anything done with ferrets around.

That shit's deep.

We had an intern like this. We all swore that one day he was going to go on a murderous rampage. I haven't thought about him in almost a decade!

As would I! assuming no sperm was included with said gift.

I worked with a mobile engineering group some years ago and they purchased everyone Blackberry smartphones just to combat this. We were often involved in tests at sites all over the country or responsible for training at myriad sites, so — as subject matter experts within the company — we were expected to be

I find that I am more likely to encounter people who do not like the doors being held open for them.

Oh, that sounds horrid!

I do not fall into any of these categories. This pleases me. I'm more of an aloof, focused individual who doesn't really want to socialize, OH-GOD-WHY-ARE-YOU-TALKING-TO-ME-WHEN-I-HAVE-ALL-OF-THIS-TANTALIZING-WORK-THAT-NEEDS-TO-BE-DONE?!

Oh, I was very fond of it, too! I just remembered that episode being when I first realized that women could be judged on their upper arms and that it was a thing.

About ten years ago I frequented a site that was heavily focused on a gaming franchise that appeals predominately to young people and girls in particular (though are were adult and male fans!). I joined mostly to write with others on the site.

Plus size used to mean between 12 and 18. These days, anything greater than a 6 is generally considered to be plus size by the modeling industry.

I remember as a child (oh, goodness. 11 or 12, perhaps?) watching the episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air in which Vivian Banks (Janet Hubert, of course) decides that she's getting old and that she'd like to prove that she could have made it as a dancer. During one part she demonstrates how old she is by jiggling

I wish that I understood why there appears to be so much stigma surrounding our bodies. I feel that much of it is specific to women's genitalia, but that might just be the result of my own anecdotal experiences.

Hell, than most adults. I was recently engaged in a conversation with a woman on this site who genuinely believed that she urinated from her vagina.

There's The Diary of Anne Frank and The Diary of a Girl. I think that we see more of the edited former and less of the latter within the United States.
