I think that the people who wish to acquire these sorts of pets aren't looking for a companion animal but a status symbol. It's unfortunate.

Inbreeding is when closely related dogs are mated. Extreme inbreeding is usually within the immediate family, such as parent and child or even siblings. It's done because it's easier when trying to achievement specific traits, especially when trying to establish one within the breed.
