Basically two games that cater to different fans. I kinda like the open-ended gameplay Dota2 CAN afford; it's difficult, but the meta is much, much less strictly conformed to, whereas in League if you don't run meta it's generally a wash for your team.

I'm not mad at him; my original attitude was actually humor at the fact that such a big deal was being made. In my eyes, we the gamers were not lied to; press asking the wrong questions at the wrong time were lied to, something that happens very often.

Probably not worth paying $20 to find out. Several games have regional keys where they can only be activated in those regions; sometimes their content differs (censorship).

To me, this was yet another case of a journalist trying to get a scoop, digging further than they should have (because idle hands) and getting fake-offended (but secretly trying to hide the tent pitched in your pants) when effectively told to "fuck off" ala Phil Fish.
