I think a lot of disgruntled “Arrow” fans saw this as a chance to get their fix that the show is dedicated to *not* give them, with their recent creative decisions.

Well, comic Cap has always been a bit weird, power level wise when you factor in the shield. I remember reading an old West Coast Avengers book where he jumped down god knows how many stories shield first, and was fine. But then sometimes he’ll duck behind the shield and still get knocked back by whatever hit it.
