Seriously, guys, I'm getting a bit of redesign fatigue. I know the guys working on Kinja need to justify their paychecks, but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

No, these three's lawyers think that they can make a nice pay day by turning this into a class action lawsuit.

If these idiots think they'll make any money off a class action lawsuit, they have a surprise coming.

I'm actually going to have to disagree with you here, Owen. We're in the discovery phase of the consoles, and exclusives aside, we're talking about two very high priced machines that do the same thing, with some minor feature differences.

Dude, I'm a guy and you just made *me* weirded out.

Who reads an article about women being harassed at an event, and decides "This is it, it's time to make my move!" Seriously?

I remember reading that part of the problem with the voice acting was that they were trying to synch to the characters lips speaking Japanese, which ended up causing some very stilted lines.

I think they redid the lips for NA in X-2, which helped improve the delivery.

I was really hoping that the lack of reply meant you re-read your post and were having a moment of self reflection.

My complaint is combat. Combat combat combat. In X-2 I control my party, in XIII games I direct my party. I hate it.

Is it really? I totally missed that reference. Hah!

No, but we seldom do. That's why the disappointment.

I don't see any conspiracy. It's a systemic problem based on years of sexism and racism. It's beat back a bit at a time; one piece moves here, one micro-step there. Over decades. Over generations.

I mean think about it, it wasn't 50 years ago that black people couldn't *vote*. Before that women. Internment caps,

First off, GTA isn't sexist because it has all male protagonists. GTA is sexist due to the content of their previous games. I mean, come on. That one is self evident.

The system, though, *is* sexist and racist. It's not any one game, or any one movie. It *is* discrimination, over all, when all the games that come

Here's the thing. I don't. I'm a dude, I try to be as progressive as possible, but I'm still just a normal guy, right?

And I get it. Publishers are risk averse, and they see female leads as a big risk, rightly or not.

That's why it was disappointing to see GTA decide to showcase multiple protagonists, and didn't

I can think of maybe a half dozen games with female headliners. I can think of dozens with males.

All I'm saying is that it'd be nice for GTA games to take steps towards being less sexist, and this would be a way to do it.

Man, if that was our GTA V cast I'd pre-order *RIGHT NOW*.

If they sexualized her, we might be.

You see criticism as whiny, I see it as suggestions for improvement.

I'm sure they could easily craft a believable female protagonist. Hell, you don't need a penis to shoot a gun or drive a car, and that's 90% of the game right there.

Have you played grand theft autos? Everyone drives terribly.

And, by the way, you're being sexist.

I'm sorry, but they're trying to SELL ME a product. I'm telling them that to appeal to ME, they need to update their product. I'm not asking them to replace Mario with a girl, or to replace Sonic with an alligator. I'm asking for a game that changes protagonists every game to think about expanding their horizons

If there was nothing but Women on TV, I would be asking the View to think about mixing it up with some male colleagues.

You are being outraged for the sake of being outraged.

I'm not telling them what they should make. I'm not asking them to not make this game, this is a criticism. Writing games/movies/books with a variety of protagonists *should* be the way society works, not the exception. I'm not trying to be a thought police, I'm
