You're still over simplifying. On one hand you have someone who was doing pretty much an intellectual pursuit to restore lost functionality to a piece of computer hardware.

I'm sorry everyone.

Exhibit 1: A bunch of gamers literally steal money from Microsoft.

Well, your disparaging thoughts about me aside, I think you're incorrect.

This is stealing, plain and simple. And the fact that so many people here point and laugh at Microsoft because they're 'The Man' or because they're 'The Other Console' is childish, and reflects poorly on us as a community.

Oh my god, I love your username. Why are we not best friends?

Man, did we get through a whole CliffyB article without a Dude Huge reference? Kotaku is slipping...

I bet Batman wouldn't have left a portal open into a hostile dimension in his batcave to let one of his Robin's get killed off. ;)

I think you need to re-read the article.

There were eight career paths when I played the beta this weekend, one not on the website for each class.

Well, that's your opinion. But they got it working. Didn't like the way it worked. And decided to go for single player pizazz rather than the obligatory co-op. I mean really, why the hate? They *tried*.

Uhm, Diablo's been based on its own world since at least Diablo II, when they expanded the lore.

It's... greedy... to take time making a quality game? Seriously?

I think you're over simplifying the issue, a bit. Part of the issue that I think you're overlooking is consumer rights. More and more, we're being restricted in what we can do with things that we purchase. From simply buying a DVD of a movie we like and being *forced* to watch Ads, or the issue of buying a 'home

I think that's a bit of a disingenuous argument. You're saying that "Hey, why should we care about what happens to this game economically, the developer *already* got paid." And yes, that's technically true, but it ignores the ramifications if there's economic impact.

@Kew-now_in_HD: It appears to refer to a parking accident, or accident in general.

This game needs Dan and Quasar. I would then buy multiple copies to everyone I know.

I'm going to be very sad in 4 years, when we hit 2015, and don't have flying cars. Or fax machines in every room of our house.

Brings new meaning to the phrase "Gotta catch them all!"
