@Big Brother: The things you listed depreciate in value when used, so naturally when you get them second hand you're paying a reduced price. Not so for games, at least until they started introducing the 'pay to play' multiplayer codes.

Did you guys see Penny Arcade's entry into the recent Used game == Cheating Industry discussion?

@JRock: My first PC game was Wing Commander III. I loved exploring the ship, talking to NPCs, wooing the ladies. So this is like a nice, refreshing blast from the past. The only game I've played recently that's employed this technique is Final Fantasy, to some extent.

I met a significant portion of my adult friends through online connections. I met my best friend my senior year in high school through IRC.

I can't wait for Nintendo to announce it's brand new Peripheral, the Wii Whoopie Cushion, or the Wii DD (A new base for the Wii that adds a cartridge slot), or whatever crazy japanese thing that they'll invent and be crazy excited for, and the entire pressroom will "..." again.
