FNGSO, I’m gonna skip the lecture where I throw around “hetero-privilege” and just say thank you for what I assume was an attempt to promote acceptance. Just know that many of us have lost family, friends, jobs, security, liberty, and even our lives - there’s nothing remotely abstract about that.

You have no idea what it’s like...and how EXHAUSTING it is to live two separate lives, one of which is a made up cover. Life passes you by day by day...as you watch potential mates or possible lovers slip through your fingers. It is enough for some to commit suicide because they simply don’t have the energy to go on…

Professional sports do a pretty good job at addressing a number of social issues, but have come up short representing gender and sexual identity equality (historically). Good starts recently in the NBA and elsewhere. Great to see professional racers take a stand.
