I’d go as far as to say that the MAGA hat *is* the new rebel flag. Both are calls for a return to a more wonderful, white/male/straight dominated idealized fantasy world.
The only difference is that the rebels lost outright, and the MAGAts lost the popular vote but still got into office on a technicality.
