Are they even doing another production run of them? If it's like other Blizzard CE's they're usually true limited editions and only have one production run, as far as I know at least :X

Nostalgia can be an extremely powerful emotion. I'd agree that if you've been with a franchise through past entries and have a lot of fond memories of it, you're likely to have a much deeper yearning for that new title. Someone new to the franchise may be extremely excited for the game since they'd love to try the

Who actually thought that Diablo 3 had a shred of a chance of ending up vaporware?

Ugh...this is how I've wanted the PC version to work for ages. It'd be nice if they could find a way to make that work for both versions.

It works pretty well, since you guarantee you get your rest and still get in about the same amount of game time before work. Only doesn't work if you're planning to start characters with other people who will be starting at the midnight release, but I'm planning my first playthrough to be primarily single player to

It's a good place to go if you want a game to just kind of get lost in for awhile. It's self-paced and let's you do whatever it is you feel like doing, and can be very rewarding as you make progress on projects since you can do some pretty impressive things.

How does the Xbox version handle online multiplayer? Is there no separation of single and multiplayer like there is on PC (meaning all worlds can have people invited into them at will), or what? I'm assuming there isn't a way for people to set up and run Xbox Minecraft servers for people to join, so I'm curious how

*shrug*. I paid, what, $15-20 for my alpha copy of Minecraft, and though I've done a bit of dabbling with mods, I've easily gotten way more out of that $20 playing vanilla Minecraft than I get out of most $60 titles (a few times over). Not to say that's how much value other people will find in it, but $20 is a still

I'm the exact same way. I also avoid phone calls if at all possible for the exact same reason, though that's mostly when people outside our small company try to go directly to me instead of through the appropriate channels.

Funny story....when I first started playing the game, I took the silenced sniper rifle for my weapon in the first mission. I went through the complex without getting detected, and was taking down everyone with knockout melee moves. Whenever I'd use a KO move, he'd do some pretty brutal stuff, like extending those

Even if there was single player, it'd be unlocking at 3am Eastern. Blizzard is on the West coast, so their US releases are always on Pacific time. You could always try what I'm doing: Go to bed early and wake up early to sneak in a few hours before work :)

I can think of one main time that I got scammed in D2, as I was usually extremely careful. I don't so much remember the scam, but I remember how I got back at the guy.

Wow, that sucks.

The crossover story we've all been waiting for!

I love how the final word on the story is that it's about unraveling the mysteries of the mighty Barbarians...yeahhhh....

The heroes of the game are primarily major characters from the Blizzard franchises, so I'm guessing that's where it comes from, and why Pardo said it fits the design of the game.

Just stumbled upon this article which sums up precisely why I'm not fretting over all of the stat/skill design decisions in D3: [www.sirlin.net]

I would say both are on even footing for solo play. Both are very fun games, and I'd recommend either or both :P To be honest, pick which platform you'd rather play it on and start with that. I've listed some points below as food for thought.

They aren't usually THAT common, but they're annoying, especially above ground as they can mess up all your stuff. I've noticed lately that their explosion must have gotten seriously nerfed in one of the patches, as they used to be able to blow you up in one shot if they blew up next to you. Now, you could stand

I don't think it's going to be as big of a deal as everyone makes it out to be. There are other things to do, and other ways to challenge yourself in the game that don't require constantly rerolling characters, and his post disregards all of them, unfortunately.
